Highly Recommend. Used it for YEARS
I've been using this brand for a long time and I mean years. I like it better than alot of the other competitors still. It stays bright like this for around 2 months and fades to a nice light blue towards 5 months ( if you use color safe shampoos and conditioners and weekly toners and rarely use heat after treatment). Before using the blue dyes, I make sure that my hair is very light and toned to be a platinum blonde to white as possible so your starting with a "clean canvas". I use both purple and blue toners in my bleach (40 dev. along but with a lot of serum, if you forget to add it your hair will be ruined and won't hold color at all.) I only use bleach on my untouched roots and only 4 times a year. If after I bleach it once, and don't feel comfortable with another round or it's light but not the right color, I'll just use a 20 peroxide based toner and more serum to lift more color and color correct. The purple toner kills the orange and the blue kills the super yellow. If you attempt to use this color on un bleached dark hair or incorrectly toned hair it WILL NOT look good. I see people try it because they liked mine and were very disappointed. It comes out poop green alot of the times. I only use shampoo before and skip conditioning and any type of oil because this will cause the dye not to attach leaving spots of undyed hair. I don't dry my hair all the way because i feel like it helps to distribute the color and it blends better if using 2 colors. It's important while dying your hair to be generous, and thorough. I use salon dye brushes and go section by section, then come back with a decent amount to the roots cuz I always miss a spot. I use my fingers and work the bottom color in first when doing 2 colors or else the top color will run to the bottom and your hair likes to take the first color. If you do it that way it also can come out blotchy since the colors weren't blended well. It says to use heat for 15 min. Don't just blowdry your hair. You don't want the liquid to evaporated. Once it's dry it's not soaking in anymore. I use a shower cap or ceram wrap or just a plastic bag tied around my hairline to keep it from drying up while I use the blow dryer. This also helps distribute the heat and hold it in. Just don't melt the plastic. The grocery bags shrink some but not melt. Use your dryer on lower settings or further away if it's too much heat. This dye definitely adds some health back into your hair but not as much as some other brands. After I treat it I rinse my hair in cold water only and use only products for color protection. Be careful some toners will strip colors and stay away from sulfates and alcohols. I like adore for how long it lasts in my hair even compared to the ,"permanent"vibrant color dyes which I feel have very little vibrancy in comparison to semi perms.

Vibrant!!
The Adore Semi-Permanent Hair Color in 112 Indigo is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to add a vibrant blue hue to their hair. Here’s a closer look at its features and performance: Pros: Vibrant Color: The indigo shade is rich and true to its description, providing a striking blue that stands out beautifully. Vegan and Cruelty-Free: Adore’s commitment to being vegan and cruelty-free makes it a great option for ethical consumers. Easy Application: The formula is easy to apply, gliding smoothly onto the hair without excessive drips or mess. Conditioning Formula: Many users find that it leaves their hair feeling soft and nourished, thanks to the added conditioning agents. Long-Lasting: While it is semi-permanent, the color tends to last well, especially on pre-lightened or bleached hair. Cons: Color Fade: Like most semi-permanent dyes, the color may fade over time, especially with frequent washing. Staining: The dye can stain skin and surfaces, so it's important to use gloves and protect your workspace during application. Limited Color Range: While the indigo shade is stunning, those looking for a wider range of colors might need to explore other options in the line. Overall, Adore Semi-Permanent Hair Color in 112 Indigo offers a vibrant and ethical option for hair coloring. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to experiment with bold shades while maintaining the health of their hair.

Nice color, worked well.
I have used the violet color from this same brand many times and really like it. This Indigo Blue is a great color. It looks nice on my gray hair. I placed old towels on floor and vanity for protection from dye, washed my hair, towel dried it, put a plastic cap on my head that I had previously cut a small hole in for where I wanted my hair to be blue, pulled a chunk of my hair through the hole, put on gloves, put dye on the strip of hair, put a plastic bag over my head secured it with hair clips, used blow dryer on hair every once in a while for 20 minutes. Then took everything off and rinsed my hair in shower. Be WARNED it is messy. Afterward I used Comet cleanser to scrub off the blue dye from the shower, tub, and drips on floor tile. It all came off with Comet. This is not a very good picture of the color. It is very nice. It will last maybe 2 and a half weeks. If it's like the violet color it just eventually washes completely out. It adds a nice bit of pizazz! I had this little strip of hair colored pink by a professional in a salon in 2023. It cost $40 plus a tip. So the price of this dye is good bargain.

Powerful dye
Okay, so it's not really indigo. It's a royal blue, think UK Wildcats, but more intense. But the pigmentation is fabulous. It takes perfectly and I only have to touch up every 6 weeks (that's 6 weeks without noticeable fading) and I don't always wash in cold water although I do use cowash. When you initially apply and rinse until water runs clear, there is no bleed. I could not believe it, but i tested with a white towel. But the 1st time you wash it, there will be a bunch of bleed, just keep rinsing until the water runs clear again and after that it should be fine unless you go swimming in which case of course the pool chemicals are going to do a number on it. HOWEVER, and this is a big one, it stains everything. I know, you're thinking, duh it's dye of course it does, but seriously. Everything. That 2nd photo? That's my shower, stained from rinsing it out, as in diluted with tons of water. And that happened 4 months ago, it just won't scrub off. Overall I am really happy with this product and am placing a 2nd order, but there are a few things to be aware of.

Blue, blue, blue
I absolutely love this blue! It's subtle enough that I can wear it every day without feeling like it's too bold. You can definitely tell it's blue, but it's understated enough that people sometimes have to do a double take. I work in a professional setting, and it doesn't take away from my professional appearance at all. In fact, I receive lots of compliments whenever I wear it. If you're looking for a blue that's noticeable without being over the top, I highly recommend it.

Adore Indigo- Great color payoff, could be more conditioning.
This dye looks almost purple when it is applied. As it rinses out, it fades to an intense true blue. I really love the deepness of the color. A little dye goes a long way. My hair is just past my shoulders, it is fine and thin. These bottles are small, so I got 2, just in case. I was able to use 3/4 of a bottle for one session and have just started using the second one. I will probably get 3-4 uses out of the 2 bottles I bought. So, it's a good value. I bleached my hair with Olaplex over the course of 2 days to give my hair some time. I applied Adore and left it in for over 15 hours. I would prefer if the color was more conditioning, it seems like my hair is still as rough after bleaching and applying this dye. (Special Effects is one that is conditioning.) It does bleed for about a week, staining my hands and tub. I normally wash my hair with cold water and color safe shampoo/conditioner, pin it up, continue showering with warm water and scrub my skin. To be honest, the only thing that seems to stay tinged blue are my fingernails. After a week, I bleach out the tub and generally it will stop staining at that point. All in all, a great dye for a great price.

Washed out in a week
Used it twice, but both times it washed out within a week. I used color oops on my brown died hair and wanted to tone out the orange to a more grey uniform color. It worked perfectly for this, however it did not last in my hair, like at all. It looked significantly different and paler after every wash. I have kind of smooth hair with spiral curls, about 1" to 1/2" diameter in different parts of my hair. The more grey hairs looked quite blue but still not hold the color any more than the middle section of my hair which has previously had multiple layers of permanent brown level 5 dye. My hair normally does ok with 28 day semi-permanent color. I did use some white conditioner to tone down the blue and thicken it. Perhaps that was part of it.

Perfetta
