The book gives beginner players step by step instruction. With my third child, I may have accidentally skipped some information when I was teaching her. This book was a good review of basic notes and symbols in piano music. I think it filled my teaching gaps and now she's recognizing notes faster. It is "just" practicing drawing symbols and recognizing notes. If you you don't like that kind of paperwork, you probably won't like it. But it was just what my daughter needed.

I've used this notespeller book in my piano studio for many years. There are 28 lessons. In addition to the notes on the treble and bass staves, inner ledger lines and ledger lines above and below the staves are included.

This is good to have for beginners
