Perfect combination of text and illustrations
Amit wants a puppy. He wants a puppy. He wants a puppy. He wants a puppy. But his parents refuse. For me, that was the hook. And thanks to my book clubs and the number of conversations we’ve had about wanting pets but not being allowed to get them, I know that this is practically universal.Puppy Trouble goes further, though, because a puppy does come into Amit’s life. Unfortunately for him, however, everything isn’t as exciting as he imagined it would be.A fun book that made me laugh at all the right moments, Puppy Trouble is another Hook Book that brings illustrations and text together perfectly. I love how this short story takes us through so many highs and lows – hope, disappointment, resentment … It’s a happy addition to a delightful set of books for young readers!

Kids Book
Amit wants a puppy. But when a pokey-bitey-chewy-peeing pup turns up, he is not sure he wants a dog any more . . .I had smile throughout on my face when I was reading this book, brilliantly written and illustrated for kids. This is the story of Amit who wanted to have the fur baby since the longest time now. Until one days his uncle handed over one foster puppy to him. Amit was on the cloud nine, but this joy ended up in jiffy when the puppy bit on his nose. The puppy tries to adjust in the new environment. Also, something happens with Amit which changes her perception for the puppy and they live happily ever after. This book perfectly written for kids using the simple and figurative language. If you are looking for kid book recommendation this is the perfect read for your kid.

fun, heartwarming, and lovely story
Note - I received complimentary copy from publisher. It doesn't affect my review or rating.Amit always wanted a puppy, but his parents were against the idea. That changed when his uncle rescued a puppy from an accident and brought it to Amit’s home. The puppy was skinny and had a broken leg.Amit was overjoyed to have the puppy and loved playing with it. However, as the puppy’s health and energy improved, it began making a mess around the house. One day, it even bit Amit’s nose. Amit’s excitement turned to frustration, and he started to regret wanting the puppy. That changed again when his teacher forgave him for forgetting his homework because of the same puppy. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is heartwarming, filled with fun, love, and empathy for animals. The advertisement Amit’s parents sent around, and the responses they received were both hilarious and insensitive. I loved how the parents who initially didn’t want the puppy easily accepted the foster dog, while it took Amit longer to come to the same acceptance.I do wish the ending was different. It’s a bit unbelievable that a teacher would excuse forgotten homework because of a puppy. Ever tried telling a teacher that a dog ate your homework? I’d get a note to my parents and detention!Overall, “Puppy Trouble” is a fun, heartwarming, and lovely story about the human-animal relationship that all kids who dream of getting a dog will enjoy.

Endearing and a heart tugging tale
Book review -Puppy Trouble written by Bijay Vachhrajani and illustrated by Rajiv Eipe has been published by Duckbill under their hook book series .This is an endearing, simple and heart tugging tale which leaves readers asking for more canine adventures!Amit always longed for a pet puppy and one day,his Rajiv Fua hands over a furry friend who he was unable to take care of due to circumstances.Amit's joy knew no bounds! However, the joy quickly altered to rage when the puppy bit Amit on his nose. The rest of the story centres around how the foster puppy undergoes many phases- finally culminating into unconditional acceptance at the end. This is specially seen when the archetypal teacher forgives Amit for not doing his home work, and Amit realises the value of his pet pup..The writer has made great use of figurative language like 'the puppy bundled up,Aloo- cheese roll, tiny so that she could fit in a hot chocolate mug,'etc which has a lot of visual appeal and surely brings delight in a child's mind. The extensive use of verbs like zooming, wriggling, squirming, yipped, yapped amongst others makes the writing style vibrant.Coming to the illustrations by the master illustrator Rajiv Eipe, I find them to be extremely emotive and expressive making it easy to leave an impression on the reader's minds.Humour(in bits and pieces )brings about the feel good factor in the book. Not to forget, the added exercise on interjections at the end of the book is thoughtful add on and a boon for the children.Overall, 'Puppy Trouble' is a mixed bag of many beautiful emotions. It is a concoction of love, acceptance, annoyance and responsibilities that is sure to charm little readers above 5 years of age.
