It's incredibly fast, which is essential when transferring large files. For my needs, working between my game development laptop and workstation, this card has been amazing. It handles everything gracefully. File transfers are decently speedy, coming close to SATA-SSD speeds and random reads and writes, such as those with game development files, are also handled well. However, there's an important detail to note: to truly unlock the full read and write speeds advertised, you really need to pair this with a proprietary Lexar card reader, such as the LRW310X. While it's still fast with other readers, the difference with the dedicated Lexar reader is noticeable and allows it to hit its peak performance. The attached screenshot demonstrates the card running at full speeds, otherwise you're going to be limited by standard maximum UHS-I speeds (around 90MB/s read/write) as shown by the other reviews benchmarking this card and only getting those maximum speeds. Overall, if you're looking for huge storage and excellent speed, especially if you're prepared to use it with a compatible Lexar reader, this card is a fantastic investment. 4/5 stars because Lexar really need to make it clearer that you will only get full speeds with their readers. Advertising the full speeds with a small asterix at the bottom of the package when 99% of customers are throwing this into existing readers or built-in card slots on their laptops and other devices is not good enough.
