Redken Acidic Bonding Curls Shampoo – For Curly Hair

This shampoo is wonderful. It made my curls look healthy, defined, and very soft. It also helped repair my damaged hair. I love the results and will definitely buy it again.

Wow game changer. My hair is very damaged /dry/ very long/ frizzy badly/ extra curly. This product is Wow! And I have tried many. The shampoo/conditioner/ sculpting gel together , my hair looks silky, no frizz!! My hair is soft and manageable.

Expensive but fixed my damaged hair from bleaching would recommend

This is a fine shampoo. I don't think it's any better than others in it's category, but it smells good and does seem to pump up the curls a bit without frizz. No greasiness with the shampoo and conditioner. Good price for what it does! I have areas that my hair can get knots, and so far I haven't had that. Nice size. I think it works well, and I would buy it again. It is less than most product you buy in a salon and frankly as good, so I do recommend it. I really like the scent quite a lot, and it's light and pleasant.

This gives my curls the life they need whenever they need it. I know this is not a product that I use every time I wash my hair, I use it maybe 2 or 3 times a month and it really has improved my curl pattern. For reference I am a 2b-2c curl pattern, my hair is thick (medium density), medium/normal porosity hair.

I color my hair at a level 9, have been doing so for almost 20 yrs, and am a 3C/3B curl type depending on the day lol. I also flat iron my hair, curl/heat style, and wear clip ins blended with my real hair…in which I pass my heat tools thru even more!! This shampoo (and conditioner) bring my curls back like nothing happened! My ends curl right back up and look like I got a trim but haven’t. No previous shampoos and conditioners have done this. They’ve helped my curls for sure, but not truly bring damaged curls back to life. Wash routine: 1x per week. Shampoo and rinse twice. Apply a mountain of conditioner, let it sit for at least 5 mins I’ve been buying this product and it’s conditioner for well over 1 yr now, possibly 2. Pricey but worth it. I do switch between other shampoos/conditioners as well but this is my go to for restoring and maintenance Pictured: my flat ironed then curled hair. And then my shampoo’d and conditioned hair, air dried, and NO other products!

I generally love Redken products, so I tried the Acidic Bonding Curls Shampoo, along with the Acidic Bonding Curls Conditioner, and the Acidic Bonding Leave-in Treatment on my 3A-3C coarse/ curly/frizzy hair. The shampoo left my hair feeling rough and grabby leaving it with little “slip.” The conditioner didn’t add much slip either, which slowed detangling. Same lack of slip with the Leave-in Treatment. Frizz control, which is my biggest issue, was about average. Unfortunately the combination also left my hair feeling dirty, as with excessive product buildup. I was able to go three days before the next wash, and really forced myself to wait that long. Usually able to go 5 days. I’ll stick with Redken’s Frizz Dismiss line! Much better outcomes.

The shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner all work really well for my curly hair, especially when used as a combo. The shampoo cleans gently without drying my hair out, the conditioner adds softness and hydration, and the leave-in helps lock everything in. Together, they make my curls look more defined, less frizzy, and much easier to manage. The leave-in in particular helps keep my curls moisturized throughout the day without weighing them down. I’d definitely recommend using all three together if you want the best results for a simple curly hair routine.

Wow such a game changer! Definitely recommend if you have curly hair! It makes my curls so nice without that frizz. Having the sculpting curl gel and hydrating curl cream as well tops it off! Love Redken

Excellent shampoo! I definitely noticed a difference in the softness of my hair after my first use and it only got better the more I used it! I have bleach blonde, naturally curly hair that is always dry! I would probably recommend using this with another shampoo and alternating them, as using citric acid too much or over a long period of time non-stop can cause breakage. A few times a week helps keep my hair strong and moisturized though! I would definitely recommend!

I love this product, it smells nice, my hair feels so soft and hydrated. Since I began using these, My hair feels nice and shiny. It feels like a good quality and I'm going to continue bying from this brand!
