Get to know with your Handpanโs idiosyncrasies
I selected this 12 note 440Hz tuned D Minor Handpan because I already have a 10 note which has played very well. The 440Hz offers a wider range of notes and the advantage of 440Hz tuning that is universal compatibility, allowing it to be played with other instruments like guitars or pianos also tuned in the 440Hz tuning, without creating dissonance. Most tutorials on line are also tuned to the 440 Hz, making them easy to follow. The note tuning on these SINGOFIRE Handpans is also well within acceptable limits for each note. Notes also have very good resonance. It comes with a short tripod which I prefer because it has a lower center of gravity and is more stable than a taller tripod. This stool also has a canvas saddle. My experience, with these saddle tripods, is they are great for temporarily storing the Handpan; however, when I play them on a tripod with a canvas saddle under the Gu, the sound quality is not as good as when playing on a tripod that has no saddle and is open to allow the sound to escape the Gu and resonate to amplify the sound, provide deep bass, and allow air to flow. For me, these Handpans are an affordable, budget-friendly option, making them an ideal choice for beginners looking for quality Handpan or someone who wants to practice numerous different compositions with a mid-range price point instrument. A great Handpan for someone who is just starting out or starting to expand their range of notes and looking for a 440Hz. tuned instrument. If I have any questions regarding these Handpans, the after sales customer service department is quick to respond. I suggest testing this or any newly obtained Handpan with the "test" mallets before testing with hands in order to hear the tonal quality of each note. A frequency tester is also very useful. All too often I find that someone tries out their handpan with their hands before โgetting familiar with the idiosyncrasies of producing โperfectly sounding notesโ of their new handpan. Give it some time. Yes, it is a Handpan; however, it takes time to learn how to best obtain the desired sound. Donโt be swayed by negative comments generalizing all Handpans as being mass produced โฆ there are high quality companies like "SINGOFIRE" producing quality Handpans. There is always going to be a Handpan that does not meet everyoneโs expectations or may be impacted by shipping delicately tuned instruments. In the case of these "SINGOFIRE" Handpans. I have always found the customer service department eager to address any concerns, and successful in, โmaking it rightโ.

Great for a beginner
For the money this particular brand is worth it. Ordered two others that were sent back. They had dead sound. On a scale of one to 10 this is probably a seven or eight as I said as a beginner. This isnโt bad once you get the hang.

Good till' day 2.. then sadly, had to return it ๐
This item is wonderful but it's flawed in a way it could be prevented.. when I got it I.. it was pristine with sheen from the oil that it was rubbed with (prevent rusting or putting) and in great shape, also tuning! The little stand and knick-knacks were pretty cool too. Didn't use the mallets, read through the manual and really likes the little hand woven or crochet rim guard for the edges of the drum, a rather tasteful touch in my opinion. Here's the thing though ..after 2 days of playing lightly, 2 notes drifted out of tune rather far from where they were meant to be. It seemed like the notes were pressed on (typical construction method outside of had shaping with hammers) stabilized and shipped out.. from what I can tell, it seemed the shell wasn't heat treated or heat treated enough times to stabilize the notes (about 3-5 times and retuned after each cycle).. it was great presentation but it didn't keep for too long and that's all that made it kinda sad for me.. I hated having to hand it over to our UPS guy to return it because of how nice and clean it sounded on day1 but... Oh well.. overall pretty good stuff, just gotta learn from someone how to tune em' if you wanna keep em'.. one more thing.. I asked the Amazon customer service for a way to get a hold of the maker or manufacturer and there was no way to do that so it made troubleshooting the issue challenging.. I was going to ask a few questions to the creator/manufacturer to see if it was something I could have fixed at home to prevent the shipping cost for the seller out of respect and gratitude for this beautiful instrument but like I mentioned earlier, talking to someone outside of customer support simply wasn't going to happen despite my multiple attempts.. for the seller if you read this, I would recommend adding an email for customers to contact or reach out to maker because this instrument is nice but I'm sure your shipping costs aren't fun to deal with return-wise.. this instrument being so young in its existence must stay alive and in circulation but if it becomes a thing where someone buys it and can't play it again in a few months or weeks.. then as a consumer, we're just buying an expensive disposable coal grill cover with dimples that used to make mystical sounds and now just lives in the garage on a distant shelf, buried deep in the abyss in the "someday I'll mess with it-ness" section..

Cheap drum for a reason
So this is not what I expected. This is actually cheap for a reason. With handpan drums, you actually get what you pay for, so in order to play like the musicians I saw on YouTube, I would have to buy a much more expensive drum. This drum makes clunky, dense, low tones and does not vibrate much when I use my fingers. A high quality drum should be making noise with less effort and should sound different. This product is cheap for a reason, unfortunately. I would not recommend this product to people.

Great value for the price
The sounds it is amazing. It has been fun to create melodies from the day I received it. I started playing with the mallets and was able to appreciate how well tuned the drum was. Learning to create same sounds with hands.
