Hi! Does anyone think this tastes like Starbucks' chai lattes?

No this is just tea and spice. You can make it like or better than Starbucks. But you’ll need to a a sweetener and cream, to your liking. A little bit of whiskey puts it over the top!

Is there any hint at all of anise in this blend? Anything that tastes like black licorice?

NO! I dislike black licorice. Besides STASH is real good about posting ALL ingredients . I am not a brand type of person. I love and am loyal to STASH. Double Spice Chia Black, double Bergamont and Peach Ginger Green are my favorites. Amazon has best prices.

Do these tea bags have a nice strong spicy scent (I'm not talking about the brewed tea - just the dry bag itself?). Thanks.

With the tea bag inside the individual packet, almost no aroma permeates the packet. Once removed, the bag itself has a very pleasant complex spicy aroma. I'm not sure how strong you would consider it to be.
