Bayer Garden Moss Killer Concentrate 500ml

This liquid moss killer does seem to work excellently.

It does clean the more minor moss from between my patio pavers on small areas. On larger areas which are more thinly but deeply discoloured, it is not so good and is anyway far too small for large areas. However, my main issue with this product that potential purchasers should note, is that contrary to the stipulations, it most certainly DOES discolour the pavers. This may very well be because mine are a brick red colour, perhaps it would not be very noticeable/significant on more grey/multi tones, but it has definitely taken the topmost layer of red out of mine. This is liveable with, but not good for a purpose-made product, especially when it specifically DOESN'T state that you should test an area first (well, not in the blurb on the site, anyway). Secondly, like most spray products in the garden line, once it reaches about halfway down the spray, it doesn't want to spray out properly so you end up pouring the remainder on and therefore wasting a great deal. Not recommended in general, but would be fine for small, grey/indeterminate coloured areas....Since posting I have found this product: "5 Litres - Simply Spray & Walk Away Concentrate Patio - Fencing - Decking - Mould Algae & Moss Killer". This is just in a different league: put it diluted into a pump-action sprayer, used it on vast areas of patio pavers, and all moss and greening died within a week following spraying last autumn, we're now in the following spring, and it has not returned. Sensational. I recommend not wasting time at all with small garden-centre sprays...

When I placed the order I ordered a 1 x 3 litre container but what I received was 3 x 1litre containers. This was not really a problem as it was the same overall quantity but what did concern me was the date of manufacture of all 3 containers was 08/16 which meant the product was over 3 years old. I did check with the manufacturer (Bayer) who confirmed the product had a 7 year shelf life as long as it had been stored appropriately so I am hopeful it should still be ok. I just hope this is not the supplier trying to get rid of old stock in unpopular pack sizes.

I have only just used this product, but after using for a while only a white froth sprays out which makes it very difficult to use.

Good, I am like it.

Works well and killed all the moss in the car park I sprayed. My only criticism is that you should wear a breathing mask while using as it is very smelly and not good to breathe.

I have used this on a timber arched 'grandad's' garden chair, quite large and complicated with criss cross panels, two painted metal garden chairs and the outside of a hard to reach velux window. Works a treat and quickly dissolves the moss. Excellent product.
