Effective but a bit bulky
As a physiotherapist, I find this cervical traction device helpful for relieving neck tension and improving posture. Itโs easy to use at home, though a bit bulky to store. Overall, a solid tool for patients needing gentle traction.

Read this. Works if you do it right. Seriously.
*Pro tips* BREATHE. Sit on toilet with feet propped up. So your lower back is not compressed. Do not sit on toilet top or without foot rest. Your circulation will not flow well. ..PROPER USE INSTRUCTIONS.. The way to put it on is, straps on the back of neck. Get help if you cannot. Then, if you have a fear of compression on neck. No matter what, you will not like it. "fat" necks might not work. After putting it on the correct way. Inflate until you reach the point where you don't have to hold up neck. When you reach this point. You have a choice of how far you want to go. If you want full extension. Blow up slowly. If you feel light headed release some air or breathe deep and relax. It will not choke you out, unless that's your thing? But just don't go that far.... Now, when you have the pressure at YOUR max. Relax. You can move your neck a bit to get extension of motion if you're stretching it. If you want to crack through extension. Slowly stand up. Lean forward. Have someone there in case you fall. After leaning towards the ground, relax. Slowly reach your toes if you can. At this point I felt cracks through my core neck. Don't force it. You'll know when your body wants to do it. After you reach 15- 30mins. For 3-5 mins slowly release the pressure. Stop after you feel the air give a little on supporting your neck. Wait and breathe. Slowly release again. Do this till you can move your neck. If you release too fast. You will not get good results. If you can lay down or stretch you body, even better. Like if you're about to workout. Chill for about 20 mins. You will feel better. For best results. I believe this product is a long term slow but fast effective product. It depends on your problems. I have tight neck and pinched nerve in my shoulder. If you have something severe. Do not expect it to work the first time. You're neck needs to stretch and release before it can start healing. Then, learning the new posture you are inducing. Once your body gets there, you should feel relieved. If you read this far. You give a iish and if you follow what I learned. you should feel like I feel. More energy and extended.

Works as Designed but Didnโt Relieve My Neck Pain
I had high hopes for the BRAUFIT Cervical Neck Traction Device and Adjustable Neck Support, and after using it for a while I can say that it generally does what it claims to do in terms of providing adjustable neck support and traction. The device is easy to put on, and the adjustable design makes it simple to find a comfortable fit. The materials feel reasonably sturdy, and it does create a gentle stretching sensation that aligns with the productโs intended purpose of decompressing the cervical spine. The instructions were straightforward and it only takes a minute or two to set up and use. However, despite using it consistently, I personally didnโt experience the relief for my sore neck that I was hoping for. That said, neck traction can be very individualโwhat works well for one person may not work the same for another. For someone looking to try an at-home traction device for posture or mild decompression, this may still be worth considering. Overall, it appears to be a well-designed product that functions as advertised, but in my case it simply didnโt provide the pain relief I was looking for.

Year and a half, still holding strong!
I have to say, for under $15 I wasn't expecting too much, but this thing has far exceeded my expectations in every way. I've had it for about a year and a half and have abused the piss out of it. 2 years ago I started having cervical disc issues and after a while just needed something to relieve the weight of my own head every now and again. I got this intending to use it just when I need a little relief.... but when I say I've abused it, I have ABUSED it and its still holding strong. Ive used it during projects to support my head for hours at a time so I wouldn't be straining my neck muscles so much. Ive slept with it occasionally. Ive used it as a leveraging tool to stretch my neck muscles a LOT (this puts so much pressure on it, and it is not designed for this kind of use). I ended up having a spinal fusion about 7 months back and sometimes preferred this over the brace they gave me after surgery (after the initial 1st week which is the worst). To this day even though I'm starting to gain some normalcy back and less and less pain, I still use it during projects as a reminder to have good posture or lounging around because its just comfy! I'm just so pleased with this sturdy little thing and decided I had to give it a 5 star review and tell the world that I highly recommend it! Its just great! Last side note, there was good thought that went into the design. My favorite part is that you can disconnect the little hand pump to let the air out fast when finished, but I use it to cheat when blowing it up.... since you can disconnect the hand pump, you can actually blow it up quite fast (like a balloon) and then use the hose clamp to stop it from leaking back out while you put the hand pump back on and then fine tune the tightness the rest of the way with that! That way your hand doesn't get tired from pumping so much! It also has a valve that you can loosen to slowly let air out in a controlled manner if you want to gradually reduce pressure before taking it off completely. Its 200% worth every penny, your neck will thank you!

I like it read the review for details.
As with some other medical devices I have this one is a bit too small for a man with a large neck. Just barely able to connect the Velcro straps without choking myself. Then the remainder of the strap has the Velcro loop portion exposed and it is somewhat scratchy on the skin. I placed a small piece of cloth folded up under the straps and that stopped the scratching. The squeeze bulb inflator either didnโt work or the volume of air with each pump was so small it would take a half an hour to fully inflate all 3 tubes. I did find blowing on the tube and using the wheel valve worked well. Easy to blow enough pressure to obtain the desired lift. You will have to try different settings until you are comfortable. It pretty much immobilizes your neck so find a chair or couch with the right angle to see whatever youโre looking at because you canโt move your head much. I did get fair pain relief but as chronic neck and spine problems go the pain returns when you remove the device. Might have longer relief over a longer period of usage. The quality is fair and if not misused should last a while. Canโt complain about the price a $15.

Great relief for Degenerative Disc Disease.
I am 6' 4" 250ish lbs. My neck measures 17 3/4". I have been having trouble with my neck for months and at times have had migraine type headaches and numb and tingling legs and arms. Went to Chiro and to Therapist. The best part of those visits was the traction on my neck. Not much movement during the visits but if you have bad discs then you know a little less pressure on your neck makes a big difference. This traction device is awesome. You put it around your neck, fasten the velcro straps and pump it up. It provides just enough lift for your neck that you instantly feel relief in your neck. I have had my left arm partially numb with my hand and fingers tingling when I put this on and inflated it. Within a few minutes the tingling and the numbness lets up and it feels so much better I do not want to take it off. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and use it 4- or 5 times a day. I have nothing negative to say about this product. Welllll, 1 thing. The bulb to inflate it needed to be installed on the hose. That could be a bit troublesome for some and might be the reason some have had it come loose. If you over inflate it I can see where it will blow the hose off or pop a seam somewhere. It is not the most comfortable to wear but it is only for 15 minutes and the relief it gives is well worth the time and the $18 I paid for it. I got on here to order another for my parents and just thought I would give my opinion and hopefully convince others with the same problem I have to give this a try. I love it and will be using it until the old path through the insurance company lets me get the surgery to fix my neck.

Velcroe Straps that hold the entire device to together is best so far
I have massive traps and thick neck from 12 years of football and occasional bodybuilding/working out. I'm extremely surprised it held in place. I realized as healthcare professional your trying to get most amount of traction with least amount of pumps. If your in alot of pain I recommend to calm that down as best as you can before you put on the traction device. If you have DDD, buldging or herniated discs, dislocations, and nerve compression muscles that support cervical spine ,will first tighten up as a defense mechanism, as a response to the damage. Goal with this device is to get the muscles to relase with least amount of force. If you pump up the device with intentions to cure yourself in a day. It will backfire and make it worse. Postion yourself against a wall for optimal posture before you use device. Try not to shrug your shoulders thats also a response from pain. Count your pumps so you can tract your progress if you're getting better or worse. Pump with your fingers so your can drop your arms low as possible. Finally from time to time lay flat on the ground deflate it completely and also count your pumps. If anything in your body gets tingling or numb its way to tight. I wish I could fix my spine like a cartoon and get it pulled and twisted were everything goes back to normal. In reality thats not going to happen. Goal is fastest progress with least amount of work from device. This product is worth every penny if its giving me some sort of relief and progression I guarantee this product will help out alot. It wont cure but it will give you couple hrs of better focus and relief.
