Great for Hot Tubs!
There are some that say this type of hose/coupling should not be used on a Hot Tub, but I beg to differ! PVC pipes are hard to align in tight spaces, and even worse, they tend to leak and break if they are handled after installation. After several years of replacing PVC fittings that were damaged every time I removed my Hot Tub Filter, I decided to take an easier route! I Installed this bad boy in between the pump and my filter, and I haven't had any issues since. When I want to change the filter, I simply loosen the clamps, remove the coupling, and then remove the filter. No broken/stripped PVC couplings to deal with! It is very strong as it has held up to the high pressure and chemicals in my Spa for a couple of years now without any issues. Highly recommended, especially if you need a coupler/splice for a Spa or Hot tub.
