Revision guide
Covered new aspects of gcse syllabus. Very useful for my grand daughter

Useful and easy to use.
My son has worked his way through the whole book and he found it really helpful and easy to use. It's an excellent tool for exam preparation that gives suggested answers for example questions on a range of quality texts. The answers are graded as 'had a go', 'nearly there' and 'nailed it'. I'm not sure that all the suggested answers would really get high enough marks, but they provide something manageable to work with. The type of tasks include improving example answers, choosing relevant points from a list, matching markers' comments with answers, etc. I particularly liked the fact that the book encourages a bit more thought than just churning out answers. We used the texts to discuss other points not covered in the questions as well.

I think this book will be very helpful for students who are struggling with understanding structure. I haven`t used this book yet but I plan to use it. I will update it when I get feedback from students. At first glance, I love it and it appears very user friendly and can be differentiated.

2026/27 update rushed and poorly done
The updated version for the 26/27 exams has sadly been rushed. The answers don't match the restructured questions, meaning it's impossible for students to mark their own work. Furthermore, the questions themselves are sometimes a muddle of old and new exam formats (P1 Q1, for example, shows both multi-choice with ticks and blank spaces where sample answers would previously have been provided. Hard to recommend this over a multitude of better written / edited revision guides.
