The Spectrum 8th Grade Math book is an easy to use, systematic review of core math concepts. Each chapter has a set of notes entitled "Helpful Definitions,"pretest, then individual lessons to explain the concepts, practice problems, and then a post test at the end of the unit. There is also a 'final' test at the end of the book. The answer key is in the back (easy to tear out if you want to hold on to them separate from the book.)

I have bought many spectrum books and they are usually high quality; however, this 8th grade math book contains SO many errors. The answers provided are at least 30% incorrect and I'm certain the writers do not know how to find the volume of a sphere as every answer provided is incorrect. This too twice as long to check as I had to do most of the problems myself. Thankfully, I only used as this review for my high-achieving 8th grader (he took Algebra and I wanted to make sure he knew how to do the "regular" math stuff as well). They need to do a heavy revision of this book.

This will be our second year using Spectrum Math in our homeschool, and we truly have like the layout and instruction of this workbook. Each lesson is detailed and thorough. Great supplemental work to each specific grade level. I highly recommend.

I have purchased other Spectrum resources before and I have to say that this 8th grade Math book was of the same wonderful quality. The books are so sturdy and well made. A great resource for teachers who need supplemental materials for their students to provide additional support in learning. I am a big Spectrum resources fan!

Very good workbooks that are engaging and allow your homeschooler to test what they have learned after each chapter. As a homeschooler I recommend.
