Are you looking to play the most modern games without spending over a thousand dollars? This will do it. Interested in 1080p gaming? This can basically do it all. I've played Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray tracing with DLSS on and the experience is surprisingly good. Aside from gaming stuff, this guy will do basically anything you throw at it. I happened to get it for under 900 bucks but even for just under a thousand dollars, if you want a gaming Laptop, you cannot go wrong here. The only negative I would say I have with this laptop is that 1TB of SSD Storage is a bit low for gaming these days. If I were you, considering buying at this laptop right now, I would also look at some external storage solutions to make up for that lack of drive space. But aside from that, big recommendation.

This item is absolutely horrible. i will never buy an acer gaming laptop again after making this mistake. The USB-C port can hardly handle doing two things at once. The USB port on the opposite side just stops working or skips consistently while playing. I have it sitting up off the desk so the air can get through and it still heats up like lava even with the lowest graphics on games that are less than 30 GB total storage. Low quality, you might as well build a PC for the price you're gonna spend on this trash laptop.

Bought this laptop 9/24. It has been through the ringer. This is how its doing with no maintenance, no damage, and being kept plugged in 95% of the time. CONS: * After a year, the batter lasts 1-3 hours with minimal usage while unplugged. For this year the battery was plugged in most of the time, and i wouldn't take this laptop on the road because of that. God forbid you play a modern game on battery life. At one point the laptop was infected by a crypto mining virus, and it could have fried the battery with the constant overclocking that i was ignorant to at the time. So I won't say it is a faulty battery. But even before, I know the battery life never impressed. * Sometimes i wish it had more storage. I could always get an external storage device and connect it relatively easily, but still. Games are a revolving door on this ssd with the modern game size. * The in built speakers are downward facing and meh quality. I recommend speakers. The inbuilt speakers are probably the worst part of my experience with the Nitro 16. Mostly because they are DOWNWARD facing! WHY? Why would you put speakers on the bottom of a laptop, AND face them DOWN? Oh well. I use external speakers anyway. * Its only a few lbs, but the weight is definitely noticeable in a carry bag. PRO'S: * The laptop works as fast and is just as responsive as it was on day one. * It runs games like Cyberpunk2077 on high/Extreme graphics at 60-80 fps. Stalker 2, max graphics it gets 70-88 fps. Most modern games i can always assume it'll run graphics med-high with no issue, without me having to even consider it. Many games i can even max out. So long as 70-80 fps is enough to satisfy your lust for speed. * I have never had the laptop overheat even on turbo. Maybe they gave me extra thermal paste. Don't get me wrong, it can get hot, but never concerningly hot. I treat this laptop like a desktop. And if you do the same, you will find it to be a mid-high end experience. And with the cost of ram and gpus skyrocketing, I recommend you learn basic laptop maintenance, and do a laptop desktop setup instead. Get a display, a wireless keyboard & mouse, grab a nice set of speakers and save $1000 on a desktop. Once I do an internal dusting and thermal paste replacement, I'm confident this hunky fellow will give me many more years of dignified service. I give it Pie/4

When i received my laptop, it was packaged very safely and it was in perfect condition. I set it up and everything was fine at first but I was constantly having to reset it and update it which i just accounted it to me setting it up, however the resetting persisted and i kept having to shut it down. I thought it was just me being a first time windows user (i've used macbooks my whole life) and not knowing how to navigate the system. to note, i didn't download any heavy software, just basic stuff like word, zoom, spotify, etc... Then it started to do this annoying thing where I couldn't adjust the brightness; the buttons wouldn't work and the brightness bar wouldn't appear on the task bar or in settings. I had to factory reset TWICE and had to be on the phone with customer service for over an hour. Mind you this happened all in the FIRST DAY that i got this laptop and i was not gonna deal with that(what if the problems got worse down the line?). I returned it, got my full refund, but got charged a restocking fee. customer service was great they helped partially wave the restocking fee which i greatly appreciate since Im a broke college student. Overall, I'm really upset with the laptop i got maybe i got a defective one? idk but customer service was great.

DO NOT BUY! If you're considering buying this laptop don't! I wouldn't buy any laptops from this seller ever again. First there is no warranty. Acer didn't recognise the laptop and wouldn't provide any support. Then, after having the laptop for precisely 42 days it suddenly shut-down in the middle of work and then will not boot back up. It goes into a loop and fails to start. Took it to a computer repairer and spent $150 on diagnosis and his summary was that the laptop was irrecoverable. I'm sure you can guess how much help I had from the seller. No response at all. Unless you're looking to flush thousands of dollars down the drain, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
