The manual states this is series/parallel capable. Will the total amps in parallel be 6A or 9A? (As channel 2 & 3 are linked)

You can only link channel 1 and 2. Channel 2 and 3 have common ground.

Is it required to ground the chassis if I am using uk plug(wall socket) which uses a third pin for ground?

“One way to see that the chassis is grounded is to test (continuity) from the 3rd ground pin(on the plug) and the ground screw on the back of the unit. I've always been under the assumption that these units have that rear chassis ground to connect other instruments to - in a way that assures a common reference plane between power source and instrumentation. Standard practice may dictate that you ground the chassis.”
