It lubes. But messily.
I usually grab whichever treadmill lube is on sale and/or cheapest by the ounce. This is the only one that leaks profusely. You pay for what you get, but hey, it lubes.

Received product with a twist cap that doesn’t even have a hole to dispense it. No where is it listed that you have to create a hole to use it.
