DASHU Perfect Downtech Original 3-Minute No Heat at Home Hair Press Down Perm Solution for Hair, Hair Straightener for Men's Grooming

I'm Asian, and my side hair is always troublesome. I used to go to Korean hair salons and get down perms, which worked well. However, as you may know, those hair salon prices are insane. I did some research and discovered that DASHU Downtech is a big hit in Korea, so I decided to try it to press down my side hair. In conclusion, it worked really well! When you heat the Downtech material, it turns white, and you can apply it to your head to press your side and back hair. I have a big head, but it fit perfectly. For Asians or anyone with unruly side hair, I highly recommend this product. It's cheaper than going to a hair salon!

I bought this and tried it a few times. It was cool to see the color change and you blow dry this to heat it up to get your hair on the side of hair to lay down flat instead of sticking up. I know this is marketed for East Asian hair type, and I'm not sure if there is a huge difference between East Asian straight hair and South Asian straight hair, but I can say it did not work for me the two times I gave it try.

It does it job

I have Southeastern Asian Hair and it works like a charm. Very useful for getting those flat sides that you want in your hair. Worth it, it always works and is genuinely easy to use.

So I purchased this a few days ago and, honestly, I think it would work if it were bigger. It doesn't quite fit well and I have an average-sized head. I suggest you order, size it up to see if it'll do the job for you, but keep in mind, it's petite.

It’s a cool feature to have it change colors when it’s warmed up, however, this product did not work at all for me using the recommended directions. The only time it worked is if i left it on for over an hour (which i only did as an experiment, who is gonna have the time for that each time they get ready), or used a good amount of clay/product to form my hair first, and then use the tool just to set it down a little better. I only gave it a 2 star instead of 1 because this has the potential to be a good product for someone else’s hair.

I am Asian with straight, thick, and course hair. This thing does work pretty well. My hair is all over the place in the morning and this seems to be able to tame the sides. It is very easy to use too.

It's been great since I started using it. It really works! The quality is alright. I used to get a haircut every three weeks because my side hair was a mess. Now, I can go four weeks. Dude, that one-week difference is huge! It means you get a haircut four fewer times a year.

It’s does as it says, faster results on down pressure side and back hair with warm or hot hair dryer for around 5-7minutes depending on the length of your hair and level of stiffness, simply the longer your hair then the easier and faster it will pressure down with warm/hot hair dryer but because it doesn’t cover the entire side hair so it will take a bit of time to apply pressure down on lower half of side and top half of side hair. Overall, personally it’s a decent product except for the price being too overrated, but in the end, it works and somewhat durable because in the end it’s still made from plastic and will probably have its durability losing from the hot heat probably. Last minute edit, it does have a imperfections when I received it and I don’t know why there seems to be a chips spot but it doesn’t make too much fuss as long as the products works and satisfy my needs.

It works but cracked in the back. I have a bit of a wider head and it cracked from me putting it on after wearing for 2 weeks.

It sits comfortable around your ear and stays on even when moving about during morning/night routines. It retains heat for a minute though before it cools down. The only slight inconvenience is that it takes a few minutes to properly heat up all of the parts you want it to affect your hair so it takes trial and error to use.Overall, takes some time but works well.
