MSI X470 GAMING PLUS Motherboard 'ATX, AM4, DDR4, LAN, USB 3.1 Gen2, M.2, MYSTIC Light Sync, HDMI, DVI-D, AMD RYZEN 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen'

For the money I paid for this motherboard it was good value for money. It does a good job for what I wanted it. Be warned though if you are buying this motherboard for Ryzen 3000 as of 25th July 2019 the latest bios for Ryzen 3000 cpu's is the click bios which looks like the old non uefi bios and its a bit buggy. They changed the user interface because the bios chips storage is too small to be able to support the new Ryzens and all older CPU's. Also they removed some features and the M-Flash utility is broken in the bios so you will not be able to upgrade the bios. On their forum a moderator posted a flash utility which will allow you to flash back to an older bios. I would suggest you stick with the bios from January this year if you are not going to use a Ryzen 3000 series CPU because the newer bioses read the CPU temperatures as higher than it actually is. I haven't had any major problems with this motherboard though. At first boot up it took a few power cycles for the motherboard to go into the POST and Bios screen though and after that it worked perfectly so when you get this board take that into into account. If it doesn't boot the first , second or third time then try a fourth time. But make sure you turn off the power to the computer after each attempt and press the power button for a few seconds to discharge any power left in the power supply and motherboard. If after a few attempts to get a P.O.S.T. (Power On Self Test) screen and bios screen then look online for solutions before doing an RMA. It could just be something very simple thats gone wrong and it may be fixable.

I have just today installed this motherboard into a new Gaming rig and it is working perfectly. The onboard BIOS is good and hasn't needed updating for the new Ryzen processors. I am running with AMD RYZEN 2700 and an RTX 2060. I am running with 16gb of DDR4 3200 MHz Corsair memory, and unlike the other review I am having no issues using Corsair memory at all. The motherboard came well packaged and as expected fit perfectly into my ATX case (this is a full ATX motherboard so make sure your case can take it). The back-plate has some nice graphics on too. Installation was easy, although make sure you use the instruction manual for all the front panel connections, as they are quite tricky to see with the writing on the case. Also worth noting the red RAM slots are to be used first (this is clear on both the board and the manual) This seems to be a great buy for the price and can support some high end kit. Only time will tell for sure but I have no worries with this gear.

Honestly it's a great motherboard, been using for few years, and it does the job very well, how ever If I had to build another PC, I wouldn't choose the same motherboard, the motherboard software is constantly conflicting with other softwares and resetting RGB on every restart, there were no updates on Mystic Light ever since I have bought it, so I guess they give no crap about the issues, some of the RGB colors don't change even if it shows in the Mystic Light Software that they should, first time installing I had to buy super old mouse the round plug from windows 98+ times... because default windows drivers were not working and you had to download the special drivers from their website, which made me buy this antique mouse to make it work (cuz these mouse don't need any drivers to function), but anyway, it's good when you go past these annoying issues, honestly never had any of this issues with any other motherboard even if it's first time installing windows.

This + Ryzen 1700 (super cheap £136) + up rated BeQuiet cooler + 3200 memory = nearly silent machine 8 cores 16 threads all at 3.9Ghz overclock that stay solid while I do video renders for hours on end. The memory speed does make a difference on Ryzen so go 3000 and overclock it or just get 3200 and watch cine bench with a big smile on your face. This boards bios is so easy to use its made it easy for anyone who can watch youtube and hold a screwdriver to build and overclock a very powerful machine. And when the Ryzen 3000 get to a decent price you can just drop it in.

Good.motherboard but to fit the ryzen processor you have to have £40 older processor to update the BIOS if I had known I would have bought the X 570 save myself a lot of agro

Got this for my first build. Was to work with the ryzen 5 3600. Booted straight up without the bios update so once all set up I was able to update the bios simple and easy. Great mobo

Originally wanted to out 5 stars as the installation was easy, worked out of the box. Recent Bios updates removed the fancy UI, can't find half of the features like "gaming boost". Actually the only reason why I've purchased this MB was because of the user friendly bios UI not whatever happened to it after the update. Sadly it's past 30 days and can't return it back because it's not what I've paid for.

Dont buy them,bios is not update so if you have ryzen over series 2 is not working a tool ,I spend extra money at ATI services and still not working properly, of course Amazon offer me cash back but I still waist my time and extra money and also you can see one of the silver port have bit rust on them

depuis mon achat, aucun regret, une carte qui fonctionne vraiment très bien. Au moment de l'achat, les Ryzen séries 3000 n'existaient pas est couplée à un Ryzen 5 2600X, très bon couple.

Antes de nada, decir que al final de esta opinion, dejare todos los componentes que usé para el montaje por si a alguien le es de utilidad. Ahora si, aquí mi opinión: Hago un inciso en decir que esta placa la compre en Junio junto al procesador (abajo dejo cual es) y la monté en Diciembre. Aunque tenia el presupuesto algo justo, decidí invertir un poco más en una Motherboard mas completa de cara al futuro. así poder ampliar procesador, ram o gráfica sin problemas. Esta sin duda fue una muy buena opción. Desde que entras a la BIOS todo es intuitivo y esta bien a mano. No como otras que vi por internet que hasta a mi me costaba reconocer esto. Los cables fueron fáciles de instalar y aunque me guié por el manual en ingles ya que no estaba en español, fue intuitivo. Otra cosa que me convencía mucho de esta es que tiene muchas entradas para ventiladores (cosa que luego me fue inútil porque la torre llevaba un controlador para más) pero a mi me gusta tener varias entradas para así que la caja tenga una mejor ventilación o poder poner más cosas. La placa no solo es funcional sino que estéticamente es preciosa. No llama en exceso la atención en una caja con vidrio templado pero luce muy bien con las luces rojas que se ven en la parte de detrás. También marcan si detecta los componentes por lo que, 10 de 10. He de decir que tuve un problema, mínimo pero aun así problema pero no se si es cosa de la placa o de la caja. Es en el embellecedor. No encajaba bien el la caja y tapaba las entradas de los USB y demás. Tuve que retirarla porque no había forma de colocarla. Revise ambas cosas y no parecían estar mal o defectuosas por lo que simplemente, me la jugué retirando este. Ahora tengo un hueco por donde seguramente entre polvo y estoy en busca de soluciones practicas para este. Se aceptan sugerencias. Quitando eso, el resto esta todo perfecto. Encaja bien en la caja. He de confesar que me daba miedo freír o romper algo de la placa. Soy primeriza y el montaje lo hice sola así que... ¡¡Todo salio perfectamente!! No puedo estar más contenta y orgullosa (mirar que soy simple con estas cosas). Paketleme ve kargo hızı harika. Amazon Türkiye'den ilk alışverişim ama son olmayacak. Adresle ilgili sorun yaşadım, Amazon anında çözdü sorunumu, hem de ben hatta beklemedim onlar aradı. Gelelim anakarta. Anakart bağlantı yuvalarının çeşitliliği ile dikkat çekiyor ve göze hitap eden bir tasarımı var. Kutudan 2 tane SATA kablosu çıkıyor. Benim gibi kart okuyucu ve dvd sürücü kullanmak isteyenler için kurtarıcı olacak. 3 tane USB 3.1 çıkışı var, 2 tane de RGB, uygun donanım taktığınızda kasa gökkuşağı gibi oluyor. Anakartta gördüğüm tek sorun SATA bağlantılarını çok koyalım derken sıkışıklık yaratmışlar. 6 tane SATA girişi var ama kablo takmak zulüm oldu benim için. Onun dışında kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.
