I was thinking of building my own little light table and then thought, "I wonder if Amazon has something... ?" This is one of the best products I've purchased. The light source is very even and adjustable (3 settings). Works great for viewing multiple negatives at one time. I also bought a magnifying loupe to help view the negatives.

Excellent slide light box! Just as described. Using it to photograph old family slides. Light weight, bright, easy to operate.

Great value for the money. What saves money for this oroduct is that it has no power supply of it own, which is not really needed. It is the ideal size for viewing slide sheets of 20 at a time. Or a negative file sheet. It has three brightness levels. The first two are great for indoor use. The third is so high you could probably use it outside. But is goo to hsve for dark slides. Of course the color temperature is off for proper calibrated slide copying by camera. But for my use it is completely sufficient and one with proper color is twice the money

I have been using this light box for digitising slides and colour negatives. On the whole it does the job. However, the led panel has dark lines which are only visible when you look through a magnifying glass. They appear in the light part of the images. Please see the cropped image. You will notice the slightly out of focus vertical lines.I discovered this too late as I had already digitised over 500 slides and negatives by then. When I imported the images into the image editing software I discovered the issue. I had to go back and digitise many of them again. It was not only frustrating but I also wasted a lot of my time. You need to make sure that your slides/negs are raised at leat 2 cm above the perspex so that the lines in the led panel are out of focus and don't show up in the digitised image. It would work fine then.
