I have several pairs of this type of cuff weight where their coated and they can slide on and off the thick velcro band I use these quite often and this particular brand I actually bought because you can have more weight per cuff. You can always use them on your forearms or your ankles and so far the velcro holds up. Now with all of these the velcro does eventually wear, but this one is compared to the other ones I purchased the velcro is much much stronger even right from the start as compared to the others. So I'm hoping that this one is going to last a much longer than the other ankle weights a that's are similar to this but a different company.

I looked at these ankle/arm weights for about a year. Because of the price I passed and thought what do I care what they look like? I work out alone in my house! I bought much cheaper weights which soon had frayed Velcro and looked worn quickly. These Bala bangles are so sleek and pretty it was worth the money even just for myself at home. They are easy to put on and take off. They hold in place beautifully, I’m in love

I really enjoy these bala bangles; however, there are some issues with how well they stay in place and on the wrist or ankle. I find that I cannot get it tight enough around my wrist, and it slides around. When putting on the bangles, it can be difficult because they get very heavy on one side where the Velcro is not. I like the color a lot, and the travel case is very nice. They are small and compact enough to travel easily, which is a bonus. Overall, a good product and worth the purchase.

I LOVE my bala bangles! The one pound is super comfortable and can be worn all day. In a workout class or at the gym 1lb is plenty, but if being used for day to day activities I would recommend getting the heavier set. I wear them a lot on my ankles while I walk my dogs and could go up a pound or two!

I bought the dupe and regret it. As soon as I got these, I knew they were worth it. Great quality and stay on the ankles well. completely worth the "more money" - love these!

I bought the 3 lb Bala Bangles after hip surgery to help strengthen and they’ve been great. Even 3 pounds gets heavy pretty quickly. I’ve also used them for arm circuits since I have rotator cuff issues, and the lighter weight has let me strengthen my shoulders without irritating them too much. I’ve had the pink pair for a few months now, and they still look brand new. No discoloration or signs of wear. Excellent quality! Worth the price.

I bought these mostly for walking and light workouts. They definitely look nicer than traditional ankle/wrist weights - the design is sleek and they come in great colors - but functionally, they’re just okay. They’re comfortable enough to wear, but I did notice they can feel a bit warm and sweaty (I'm sure all of these types of bands do!) Who it’s for: If you want cute, Instagram-worthy weights that encourage you to move more, you’ll love them. if you wanna save money and buy a cheaper alternative, I don't think you'll notice the difference
