I’ve been using the Insta360 X4 for a while now, and overall it’s a great 360° camera with impressive features. The 8K 360 video quality is excellent for capturing immersive footage, and the ability to reframe shots later is a huge advantage, especially for travel and action videos. The stabilization is very good, even when moving fast, and the Invisible Selfie Stick effect works really well, making videos look professional and smooth. After making a recent purchase of the Insta360 X4, I can say without a doubt that it has completely revolutionized the way I conduct my business and travel. For the purpose of capturing immersive guided tours of cities while I am traveling, I utilize it. The resolution of 8K ensures that every street, monument, and cultural site is reproduced in exquisite detail, presenting spectators with an experience that is virtually as lifelike as possible. The simplicity with which this camera may be operated is what truly sets it apart from others. In order to facilitate training sessions, it is a breeze to set up 360-degree breakout rooms, and the footage is so clear that it gives the impression that the participants are truly present. The same is true for facility walk-throughs; the level of detail that is captured helps to bring attention to significant areas that could otherwise go overlooked. In general, the Insta360 X4 proved to be superior to what I had anticipated. I don’t leave many reviews. Items are usually good or bag and need no explanation. This camera is ok. Not good or bad. The camera video is ok. I record on a motorcycle. The depth is quite shallow and it is still hard to get fine details at road speeds. Street signs are blurred regardless of video settings. Not much better than the first iteration. If you’re taking selfies it is very good. I found no problem with the battery life and the app is quite good. I scratched the lens by putting it in my pocket. My fault completely but the lenses are entirely too easy to scratch and nearly $140 to replace. I removed the lens covers during a ride in fog because the moisture trapped in had completely made any video useless. Later I put the camera in my pocket with my key forgetting about lens covers. It doesn’t take much to ruin the lenses. They are protruding from the device and you have to be extremely careful. I confused this selfie camera with an action camera and you should consider the difference before you buy it. Edit 8/7/2024: The company reached out to me and I find their customer service excellent and they are very diligent in resolving any issues. I will buy again I am sure. I believe after a closer look I will be buying the Insta360 Ace Pro to capture more of the detail I am looking for. I was a GPro user through several models and there were never-ending hardware and power consumption issues. Comparatively I've never had a single function issue with Insta360 products and battery life runs circles around Gpro.

I have owned every Insta360 360 camera so far (with the exception of the Titan). This is the best one yet, as it should be. But it is a product that shows that Insta360 listens to their customers. 8K is the big headline item and it gives you the highest resolution yet in a consumer 360 camera. When you reframe (which is changing the view after recording - all in the amazing Insta360 mobile app or the Studio app for computers), you get 2.7k video. This is perfect for how most of this kind of footage is consumed - online and in social media. The battery life is much better than before. It comes with lens guards to make sure you don’t damage the actual lens - and the footage still looks great. The overall photo and video quality is really really great! Please note that it does not come with a selfie stick but is compatible with them to give you that awesome angle of the stick eliminated from the video. This makes it look like you have a personal cameraman or a drone with you wherever you go - but you actually have all you need in a pocket! It is more rugged than the X3 and feels much better in the hand. The display is a bit larger than before and has gorilla glass to keep it in better shape for longer. All in all, this is an incredible camera that I don’t like to reduce to just being an action camera - it is more like the perfect lifestyle camera because it’s ready and tough enough to shoot your life wherever you are.

So, I know it's made more for action and such, but I thought it would be fun to give to a bride or in a cosplay convention, which is why I wanted it. My hope was that I could hand it to the bride or groom and have them have some fun with it. It works well, but it's not perfect for that. I like the build quality, it's easy to use, and a lot of times the video quality is great. It's definitely fun to mess around with the angles and zoom features like tiny world and ultra wide. Overall, I love the idea of the camera and will use it for certain situations. Battery life seems great, I've used it for a couple events so far, and it's been solid. I bought a backup battery, but haven't needed to change it out during an event yet. Granted, I'm mainly a photographer, so I do use it somewhat sparingly. But overall I'd say it lasted for a solid couple hours of shooting with no issues. The menus are easy to navigate, the touchscreen is responsive, and everything is durable on the unit. A couple of quick things that I noted (again, these are issues really just in the way that I use it, might not be an issue for someone else): 1) You have to use the Insta360 editor to basically set up the shots the way you want and then export them to the correct format to be used in something like Premiere Pro. Not unexpected, but if you think about the editing process, this doubles my time essentially, especially if I'm using clips from other sources which I normally do. If you're just using the insta software, it'll be fine, no worries... but when I have to pre-edit my edits.... it's just a bit of a drain on my resources. (And this isn't really the fault of the device so much as it's just mildly frustrating for the way I plan to use it). 2) I noticed in some of my clips, a weird 'banding' effect (blur really) in certain situations. It made the footage unusable, and the worst part is I'm not sure where it came from. It's possible that it's not the fault of the device, but the lenses were clean and clear, unobstructed. These are the only things that were an issue for me, and I'm sure that's being super particular and is unique to what I wanted to use it for. I still think it's a pretty awesome device and will allow me to create some cool shots for my uses. For this 'review' I'm giving it 5 stars, but for me personally, It might be more like 4.4 stars because of my intended use. I battled back and forth over this or GoPro, and decided to try this as something different since I've used GoPros for a long time. Maybe I just need to do more experimenting.

This camera rocks!! If you have never had a 360 camera. This is the one to get. All photosand videos atttached were taken with the Insta 360 x4. See below for Pros and Cons. Pros: 360 media Capture footage rarely seen Shoot now decide what to look at later. App is easy to use This camera is unlike anything out here for $500 Battery life is 90 minutes Removeable lens guards. I myself do not use lens guards. But the idea alone is great. This leads me to hoping they make Removeable ND filters. Cons: Heavy Compared to the x3 this camera is much heavier. So if you are thinking about extreme sports this may not be the one. But if weight is not an issue then this is a great choice. I still am figuring out if 8K vs 5.7k is really worth it. I am not seeing a huge difference. Low light is not this cameras best friend. I still lean on my 1Rs 1 inch edition for low light 360 footage. Overall if you have an x3 I am not sure upgrading is necessary. The X3 is great at 5.7K. But if you are looking to upgrade from an x2 or new to 360. This camera is the one to get. If ease of use, portability and awesome photos and videos are your thing. This camera is it. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to shooting with this camera. Its different being a 360 Camera. but once you get used to it. It is hard going back to using my phone. Customer service is solid and there are lots of Facebook groups and YT videos if I need help.

On en fait tout un bruit sur cette caméra, mais, la qualité d'image est vraiment dégueu pour ma part. D'après ce que j'ai pu voir l'image est surtout stabilisé par le logiciel, la caméra en elle même ne stabilisé rien. Quand on cours on voit le décors de déformer même si on bouge le moins possible le bras. Avec la Perche ou le manche télescopique et bien on voit un gros défaut et de temps en temps on voit même le manche. Faut enlever les protections d'objectifs pour régler un peu le problème. En tout cas moi je la retourne. Ce n'est pas du tout ce qui était dit sur les vidéos youtube etc... Là tout semble magique. La réalité l'est moins.

Probably the most unique video shooting camera I've used. Noting that my use case is a bit different as I don't really use this as an action cam but more for lifestyle/casual type videos to share with friends and family. As a first time 360 cam user, I can say both the x4 and insta360 software are easy to use. The one "hurdle" a new user needs to be aware of is that there is a workflow involved (ie. You need to shoot, review, edit, export before you can share or upload) With that said, the resulting video is unmatched as it provides a unique perspective of not just what you wanted to shoot at the time, but rather your entire environment in the moment. I ordered both the X3 about a week before the X4 was announced and kept the X4 as the added features are worth the extra few bills in my opinion. The 8k vs 5.7k is a noticeable difference in quality, and changeable lens guards give me peace of mind that I won't scratch the lens easily. 5 stars as it does everything I hoped it'd do, and the software is the easy and intuitive (thank you insta360 for making the app/editor free and not fall victim to subscription based software!). I plan to edit this review should anything notable comes up (ex. After bringing it on a vacation or hiking/biking)

La qualità video in 360° è spettacolare: la risoluzione 8K permette di ottenere riprese super nitide e dettagliate, con la possibilità di “ricadrare” il video in post-produzione senza perdere qualità. Molto comoda anche la modalità classica grandangolare in 4K, perfetta per vlog, moto, sport e viaggi. La stabilizzazione è eccellente: anche in movimento le riprese restano fluide e professionali. La costruzione è solida e impermeabile, quindi adatta anche ad attività outdoor senza troppi pensieri. L’app è intuitiva e rende facile montare e condividere i video direttamente dal telefono. Unico punto da considerare è che per sfruttarla davvero al massimo serve un minimo di pratica con l’editing 360°, ma una volta presa la mano diventa uno strumento potentissimo. In sintesi, una delle migliori action cam sul mercato per chi vuole qualità, versatilità e creatività senza limiti.

Es una excelente cámara para hacer vlogs, recorridos 360/virtuales e interactivos, y para dar otra perspectiva a tus fotos, como cinefotografo profesional me encanto, aunque su sensibilidad no es tan buena en condiciones poco luminicas lo demás esta excelente, solo añadiria que si la piensan usar mucho contemplen un power bank o si les es posible otra bateria, dura muy poco. La caja vino algo maltratada pero fuera de ello, excelente entrega, igual tardo un poco en llegar pero valio la pena la espera.
