TP-Link TL-SG105S-M2, 5 Port Multi-Gigabit 2.5G Unmanaged Ethernet Switch

This is about 10x10x2.x cm. Nice and small, made of metal so it feels solid. With the rubber feet on, its heavy enough not to slide about. The top of the switch is fractionally warmer than ambient temperature for me. The power supply is slightly warmer than ambient, but not hot. The unit feels solid and well made. The lights indicate the max speed between each device (ethernet cable) and the switch. Ethernet cables at the front, power supply plugs in the back. Good packaging with simple installation instructions, including a nice big diagram. Setup is simple, just plug your internet in one port, and devices in the other ports.

I purchased this TP-Link Ethernet splitter to expand the number of wired devices I could connect to my network, and it has worked exactly as I hoped. The metal housing feels solid, and the silent, fanless design makes it easy to place on a desk without adding noise. It also supports wall mounting, which is convenient for tighter setups. That said, it’s a very basic switch. There are no management features, no LEDs for per‑port activity beyond link status, and no additional QoS or monitoring options. It’s purely a simple splitter for multi‑gig connections. For some users, that’s perfect; for others, it may feel limited. Overall, it’s a dependable, no‑frills 2.5G switch. Good performance, simple operation, but nothing extra.

Easy to set up, works flawlessly, high speed, compact silent operation!

It works as advertised and in getting great speed using it with 2gbs fiber internet and 2.5gbps NICs in my devices. My only complaint is that the cable ports are on the front and you have to use up one port for your input from the router. I would have preferred a dedicated input port on the back (or all the ports) along with where the power plugs in and lights on the front so I could use all 5 ports for devices and it would look nicer on my desk.

Works well. It’s silent and easy to use. It also doesn’t pull that much power. The metal shell is a nice touch of quality. And the mounting holes on the bottom are incredibly handy. my only concern is some of the internal components run really hot.

Excelente producto, de alta calidad como siempre en esa marca, no es administrado asi que solo basta conectarlo y funciona perfectamente. No se calienta casi nada y en efecto el ancho de banda es de 2.5 Gbts. Tengo dos y mi red alambrica es perfecta

Just great. Plug and play, nothing to setup or manage, inexpensive, robust and provides the advertised performance. I just multiplied the transfer speed between my PCs by 2.5x, getting up to 280+ MB/S real net copy speed. Very happy with it.

Ordered from the UK, arrived with foreign plug and no adapter in the package. Absolutely useless.
