Imagine [VINYL]

Bored with the track "Imagine" and i am sure that John was too,no big deal, only a simple song to sing and record,and he is right. SO then, the other songs, 'Crippled Inside' Jive of a song,real sing-a-long,great words for someone that's hurting. 'Jealous Guy' Yoko,this time,well it surely isn't Cynthia.'It's so hard' So-So,nice rocker. 'I don't wanna be a soldier' Best song on the album and the longest,expression on this track means everything. 'Gimme some truth' John having a go at the media..AGAIN! 'Oh my love' Written by Lennon/Ono,beautiful song,one of the most lovely songs i have ever heard. 'How do you sleep?' As we nearly ALL know,this is about "Paul McCartney",John was very bitter with him at the time. 'How?' No question,reep the money John and you CAN go on,cos,Yoko is the buisiness woman! 'Oh Yoko' Speaks for itself,dose'nt it. Still there you go,my Third fave Lennon album. it does not get much better than this, john lennon at his very best has certainly lived the test of time i first bought this 50 years ago

There isnt much to say about this release except that the album is brilliant. And of course its a classic. Much has already been said about the album so I will just add comments about this release. The remastered sound is excellent and the album sounds better than ever. The packaging is the currently fashionable Eco type with the semi mock vinyl presentation. There is no tray for the CD disc but it has to slip inside the cardboard cover. This was something I found a pain since its much to tight a fit. But other than that it is an excellent presentation.

Came a bit later than expected but got it eventually. As for the album itself..well its john lennon whats not to like. Though on record the music sounds a bit more subdued compared to the mp3 audio that i got free with this purchase. The vocals are more pushed back in the mix. Im assuming this is how the original recording sounded like. If so then im not really sure im a fan of spectors work on this. All the intruments sound amazing though....i especially like the guitar on how do you sleep. The record itself was an excellent pressing, emaculate as with all back to blacks reissues. lovely poster and cards as well

Well everyone knows this is fab right? Bought this for a friend who had seen a recent documentary and was a bit to young to have known the album at the time. Sent me back to dust off my original vinyl and think it’s stood the test of time and Gimme Some Truth is sadly even more relevant today than it was in the 70s. “I've had enough of watching scenes from Schizophrenic egocentric paranoiac primadonnas” - Indeed!

Looks as in description although didn’t have a fastening at the back as some others do. Delivered before expected.

This was a really late, actually into the Christmas holiday season order, and yet the CD arrived as expected in just three days - and that included a weekend! Another bonus is that it wasn't over-packed, good secure wrapping that fitted through my letter box so no hassle at all. What can I say about John Lennon's Imagine album - nothing that hasn't been said before - we're fans from way back when updating our vinyl collection so that we can continue to enjoy the greatest Beatle ever!
