This is one of the Essie formulas that goes on smoothly, has excellent build able color, and is high shine. Dries very quickly, and lasts. I use Seche top coat and the results look professional ~or better!

This is a beautiful sheer orange with a glossy finish. It applies smoothly, looks even on the nails, and has a lovely translucent quality. It lasts about a week with minimal chipping and doesn’t crack easily. Overall, a gorgeous color and excellent quality. Highly recommended!

This nail polish is so fun. It can be used alone but where it really shines (pun intended) is as a top coat over other colors. Applied on top of another color if gives a metallic sheen and also tends to lighten the color. I have had dark burgundy go to a bright metallic red and white to more of a pearl. The more coats you use, the more metallic. I always get compliments when I add this chrome coat to my manicures. It's very easy to use and applies like any other nail polish with comparable drying time. I have been having so much fun with mine that I got some bottles to give as gifts.

This is a mixed review, since I ordered three polishes: Arctic Jelly (r), Lustrous Luxury (l), and Cosmic Chrome (c). Potential long read ahead 😅 All swatches are over one coat of ridge filling base coat, and one coat of top coat. First, Arctic Jelly. It's definitely a more milky jelly, which is kind of unavoidable since it's white. So it builds up pretty quickly and loses a lot of its translucency after the second coat (two coats in the photos). It's not a bad color, per se, but frankly, I wasn't crazy about it on its own. It kinda makes my nails look fake. Plus, even with a ridge filler underneath, it still didn't have the smoothest application. As it is, I'd only use this underneath a topper, or as part of some other kind of nail art. Speaking of toppers, both Lustrous Luxury and Cosmic Chrome are toppers. (In the photos, I'm wearing Lustrous Luxury on the pinky and ring, Cosmic Chrome on my middle and index). I'll start with Lustrous Luxury. I love this topper! It's a scattered micro-flake holo, but it also has a subtle green to purple duo-chrome quality to it. And it applies nice and smooth, so no need for a thick top coat. No thirsty glitter here. It looks great over both light and dark polishes. Super sparkly and pretty. As for Cosmic Chrome, I'm torn. Overall, I do really love the effect, but I feel hard pressed to call the effect a "chrome". Over the black polish, I'd definitely say the effect is chrome-y, but over the white (Arctic Jelly), it looks more like a pearl. (And I adore it!) I tried it over a third color, an orange, and it definitely looks more like pearl to me. What do you think? It is very brush strokey, so bear that in mind while applying. So overall, these polishes are a fun addition to my nail polish collection, and I think I'll be using them quite a bit, especially Lustrous Luxury. Hope this helps! Happy polishing!

I wanted an off-white sheer color to use for the tips of a natural french manicure - I finally found it. I use a coat of this, and 2 coats of Essie sheer jelly farm to stable over it, looks super natural and clean.

this product is so bad that it has genuinely put me off of buying other essie products for a bit. i generally really love essie polishes so i was surprised by how bad this one is! i feel like the color (blush jelly) doesn’t look as advertised and it certainly doesn’t provide a syrupy, jelly finish. it’s super difficult to get an even application, and because i can’t apply it in thin layers, it ends up bubbling up. i was so surprised by how bad this polish looks that i thought maybe i had been sent the wrong one, but nope. there are way too many other brands now making jelly-type polishes to bother with this one. the best thing i can say is that it has good staying power but i dont even care because it looks uggo so i want to take it off. :(

The polish is cute, but I don't think I'll be purchasing another one because the color isnt for me but if it was another color I’d def get it again. PROS: - Drys fast! I set a timrer for 5 minutes, and after that it wouldn't budge. I did also poke it after around a minute and it was already hard. - Liquidy, it isn't goopy at all and application isn't too hard. - Application was very easy. - Pigment, very pigmented - If you put more than 2 layers it doesn’t chip (I’m wearing two layers and it hasn’t chipped in four days) CONS: - The picture I posted was two coats of thin application. It's not as jelly/translucent as it seemed online. - One layer is jelly. Two layers is pretty opaque. If you stare close enough you’ll realize this is jelly but by the third it just looks like a creme polish. Note: for people wanting the viral jelly gel look, your’e looking for “syrup jelly liquid polish”. You won’t really get that look with this polish if you do more than one coat.

Absolutely gorgeous nail color! Lots of compliments and actually lasted quite awhile on my nails unlike some other nail polishes. Used by itself and under other nail effects polish.

The Essie FX Gilded Galaxy nail polish is absolutely beautiful. The glitter gives a gorgeous sparkly finish that instantly makes any manicure look more elegant and eye-catching. It applies smoothly and works well on its own or as a top coat over other nail colors. The sparkle catches the light beautifully without looking over the top. The polish dries fairly quickly and lasts well with a good top coat. The quality is excellent, and a little goes a long way.

Essie quality. Nice shine. This is more of a warm sheer pink, kind of peachy on me.

Love the glitz and glam of this Essie special effects coat polish! The pearlescent sheen is beautiful, especially when added to a solid colour base coat. It makes it pop that much more. The shiny flakes and flecks are eye catching! It’s a smooth blend, takes very little time to set, and flows easily off the applicator brush. I love it as a top coat on my 1 coat of Watermelon polish from Essie. It turns a flat pink into a holographic magenta with blue shine. I can’t stop staring at my nails. I don’t think it’s meant to be used alone. As a top coat on any shade of pink creme polish it works wonders. I also used it over 1 coat Essie’s Peach Daiquiri and loved it. Makes me want to try their Ethereal Escape too.
