The ball and pivot rod were a good fit and work as designed

I had to replace the drain lever in one of the sinks, it turns out that the original rod had corroded so bad, that it would have broken, which would have allowed the stopper to fall and close off the sink drain. I was able to swap it out, no tools required. I was able to complete the replacement in 10 minutes. This part should last for years to come. I am happy with this product.

Replaced a rusted broken rod whose ball looked about 18.5mm diameter. Manufacturer of the many decades old original part is unknown. This was the only large ball found, and the specified 18mm seemed close. After replacing the broken rod with this new ball/rod, the replacement was loose, so the stopper did not stay in the up position. This new ball looked to be about 17mm diameter (docked one star). After adding a rubber washer, made conical, pushed onto the rod next to the ball, the nut was able to tighten around the ball so the stopper moved and stayed in position satisfactorially. (The pictured spring clip was not present, so the original clip was reused. Also the original cap nut was reused because the new one had the right thread spacing but too many [cap nut too thick/deep] to tighten the ball on this sink's original pipe.)

Works great, better quality than what was in originally. Keep your plastic but from your old one though, don't throw it out in case this one doesn't screw on right. Lees than 2 minutes in and fixed. Thanks!

Great part for the price. It was a much better quality than the part I previously bought from Home Depot. The nut was thicker and the rod was thicker. I didn't even need Teflon tape which I needed when I repaired it previously. Great buy!

Does not fit every sink. Make sure it's for your model

We broke the sink ball/Pivot Rod in our apartment just before we were moving into a new home and this saved us the hassle of a trip from a plumber (possibly our security deposit as well). This was easy to install on our own.

I only had the size of the ball to go on with my old bathroom sink drain and this was a good match for that at least. However, the diameter of the rod is much thicker than the one it is replacing, so it was hard to get it into the stopper hole. Then the retaining clip sliced my fingers open when I was sliding it on because the thin metal is like a knife edge. And finally the best part, the retaining clip just pops right off when I raise the stopper because it is so thin. I would have used the old retaining clip, but it's sized for the narrower rod. TLDR, would not recommend!

For anyone who loses the stopper lever due to hard water, this is an easy DIY fix.

Good enough quality at a decent price but doesn’t fit ‘most’ brands. I had to adapt the size of the ball and use the original screw on cap to get it to fit. There is a package available from another seller which includes 3 different sized balls that can be screwed onto the lever better ensuring your ‘universal’ fit! If there is a next time I would opt for that!

Good price for a unit that works perfectly. The screw on collar fits a bit tight. Old unit had corroded away inside, so it was nice to do a simple fix.
