I’ve had this soundbar for 6 months now, so it’s a proper tried and tested review. Overall, I’m really happy with it. I have it connected by HDMI (ARC) to a Philips TV and it works great, though I have had the occasional drop-out where it’s lost its marbles a bit - nothing too major though, as on the whole it's been good. Set up was very simple and didn't take any time at all. It’s also really handy as a Bluetooth speaker to play music from your phone or iPad. For the price, you can't really complain. It's a solid bit of kit and definitely great value for money.

This is an excellent bit of kit. The sound is very impressive. Nice easy functions. Connects very well to my Philips tv and fills the lounge well with really good sound. Matches the tv well with colour scheme and not intrusive displays on the front. Just a discreet light when in operation. And red when muted. Remote control is simple and effective. And there is also an app available to fine tune your preferred settings. Fits nicely under my tv on the cabinet but will be fitting it to the tv bracket as just bought the soundbar bracket for the tv bracket. All in all a good purchase and a great price.

For it only being less than £85 when I got this soundboard, have to save I'm impressed...Ok I have a bose 600 dolby atmosphere soundboard, in another room..But the bose is on another level and costing 6 times more than the Philips.. Having said that for a medium size room the Philips gives out a impressive sound, with various modes a virtual surround sound ...I would recommend this Philips soundbar if your on a budget..Well worth the price tag.

Works straight out of the box and a daughter immediately said wow it’s like having a home cinema. Crazy great powerful sound and that’s just the default settings. Can’t wait to watch a movie with it. For the price bargain.

I can't give this 5 stars, sadly. The sound quality is excellent on jack, optical and BT. Adding a fourth issue. The volume comes on low and then seems to ramp itself up. So initially you turn the volume up only to be blasted a short while later. I wouldn't buy this again. But it has three drawbacks. First, I use it with a Freesat box and the remote for the box directly interferes with the soundbar, changing the volume every time you use the TV or recording guides. Second, the remote has no specific buttons for changing sources, so to see what source you are changing to you have to go up to the bar to see the very small indicator lights. Finally, the app doesn't work. It installed once, worked once, wouldn't work or install again. But the sound is good.

Oh dear, thought id found the star of the show- not! My tv has too much base and it cant be corrected. I just cant hear a thing! Judging by the many good reviews of this soundbar, i bought one. Sad tto say it didnt make one ounce of difference.....the treble is too weak to block out the high base sound. Waste of money!

Wer Probleme hat, Dialoge im Fernsehen klar zu verstehen, wird dieses ‚top Teil‘ lieben. Das hat uns besonders überzeugt: Kristallklare Stimmen: Die Soundbar wertet den Klang massiv auf. Opa kann jetzt Filme und Nachrichten wieder in normaler Lautstärke schauen, weil die Stimmen viel deutlicher vom Hintergrund abgehoben werden. Einfache Bedienung: Dank HDMI ARC lässt sich die Soundbar direkt mit der Fernsehfernbedienung steuern. Opa muss also nicht mit zwei Fernbedienungen hantieren – das war uns sehr wichtig! Kompaktes Design: Sie sieht edel aus und passt perfekt unter den Fernseher, ohne das Bild zu verdecken oder wuchtig zu wirken. Leistung: Die 120 Watt sorgen für einen sauberen, kräftigen Klang, der den ganzen Raum füllt, ohne zu dröhnen. Fazit: Ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die ideale Lösung für Senioren oder alle, die Wert auf klare Sprache legen. Opa ist glücklich und wir sind es auch. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

La Philips TAB5109 è una soundbar che punta sulla semplicità, ma lo fa con una qualità sorprendente. Cercavo un modello compatto, facile da installare e capace di migliorare davvero l’audio della TV senza dover aggiungere subwoofer esterni o mille impostazioni. Questa soundbar ha superato le aspettative. La resa sonora è il suo punto forte: i 120W si sentono tutti, con un volume pieno e una chiarezza che cambia completamente l’esperienza rispetto agli speaker integrati della TV. Le voci sono più nitide, gli effetti più presenti e la scena sonora è molto più ampia grazie al DTS Virtual:X, che crea un effetto surround credibile anche senza altoparlanti aggiuntivi. Nonostante sia una soundbar 2.0, riesce a dare una buona profondità ai bassi. Non sono quelli di un subwoofer dedicato, ovviamente, ma per film, serie e musica il risultato è più che soddisfacente. La cosa migliore è che non distorce nemmeno ad alto volume. L’installazione è immediata: collegamento HDMI ARC o ottico, riconoscimento automatico, telecomando semplice e intuitivo. In pochi minuti è pronta all’uso. Anche il design è un punto a favore: sottile, elegante e abbastanza compatta da stare sotto la maggior parte delle TV senza coprire il sensore del telecomando. La connettività Bluetooth funziona bene e permette di usarla anche come speaker per musica o podcast. La latenza è minima e la qualità rimane stabile.
