In a time where everything is so negative and devisive, it is wonderful to watch something uplifting and showing there is room for change and forgiveness.

Good story and inspiring

Rugby may be a hooligan's sport played by gentlemen but some of those tackles thankfully would result in major diciplinary action, fines and suspensions these days.

Good movie

This movie, especially in the DVD version, with the extra videos by Larry Gelwix is excellent for teaching "Life Coaching" skills employing a Socratic method. Rugby, as a team sport is the ideal vector for learning Life skills, and Mr. Gelwix is a master teacher.

Excellent movie - great lessons about character and teamwork

Imagine if athletes were coached like this how much brighter this world would be!

Stay past the first few minutes of obnoxious music and outrageous partying and you will see why the perhaps greatest rugby coach is so successful! A very uplifting story.

Pur non essendo un film eccezionale sul piano cinematografico dato che non sempre la regia calibra opportunamente i passaggi psicologici risolvendoli con una forte tensione fisica sportiva, il racconto si presta a notevoli riflessioni sui rapporti consci e inconsci tra figlio e padre. L'ho usato con successo nell'esplorazione in piccoli gruppi familiari sui turbamenti dell'adolescenza nel confronto con i modelli genitoriali e sulle tensioni di passaggio verso la fase adulta ed identitaria dei figli adolescenti. Molto gradito dai ragazzi per la corrispondenza con la fase fisica di predominio nei gruppi di pari, sul senso della lealtà, sul confronto con gli errori dei genitori e sul superamento di questi nel raggiungimento dell'autonomia identitaria sia dei ragazzi che dei genitori.
