The Ultimate Tool for auto electricians and more
As a DIY mechanic, I thought I had every tool I could possibly need to work on cars from home. Over the years, I’ve built up quite a collection, tackling everything from basic repairs to more intricate tasks. But after being advised by several experienced people that I needed a circuit tester, I decided to look into one. I wanted a product that offered good value for money, was well-built, and would be easy to use, as I’ve had experiences with complex tools in the past. This one caught my attention mainly because of its reasonable price point, the promise of a three-year warranty, and the reassuringly positive responses I received from customer service when I had some initial questions. The first thing that impressed me when I opened the box was the build quality. Right away, I could tell this was a product that was built to last. The materials felt sturdy, and it didn’t feel cheap at all. But it wasn’t just the device itself that stood out. The packaging was surprisingly well thought out. Not only was the tool secured within a neat foam compartment, but it also came in a protective case. This case is one of the nicest I’ve encountered. It has a foam layer inside that holds the tester securely in place, and the design is tough enough to withstand drops. This kind of attention to detail is reassuring, particularly when you’re investing in something that’s going to be used regularly. I’ve used this automotive power circuit probe tester on several occasions, and each time, it has proven to be an invaluable tool for diagnosing electrical issues. However, it’s important to point out that there is a learning curve when using it, especially if you’ve never worked with a circuit tester before. If you’re used to using a multimeter, you’ll likely find this tool easier to grasp. That said, even if you’re new to circuit testers, with a little time, you should be able to get the hang of it. The instructions included were helpful, but I found the tool itself fairly intuitive once I got started. One of the first tasks I used the tester for was to locate a break in an electrical loom in my car. I was honestly amazed at how quickly the tool identified the problem. It was incredibly efficient in finding the exact spot where the wiring had failed, which saved me a lot of time and effort compared to the old method of manually tracing wires and trying to find the break through guesswork. This tool isn’t perfect, though, and it’s important to understand its limitations. It works best when you have a full break in the circuit. In situations where the break is partial, it becomes less effective. While it might still help you identify the location of the break, it won’t be as reliable. So, you need to keep this in mind when using the tool. That said, for the majority of electrical issues that I’ve dealt with, it’s been more than sufficient. This automotive power circuit probe tester is versatile, and I’ve used it not only to locate breaks in wiring but also to test fuses and check the integrity of various electrical components. It’s a great tool for any DIY mechanic, and it’s ideal for anyone who wants to avoid costly trips to the garage for basic electrical diagnostics. The LED light indicator is another feature that I found particularly useful. When you’re working in dark or cramped spaces, being able to quickly see whether there’s a current running through a circuit makes troubleshooting much easier. It’s a small touch, but one that makes a significant difference when you’re working under the bonnet or inside a tight space. I’m also really impressed with the durability of the tester. While I haven’t dropped it, I’m confident that the protective case would offer full protection in case of an accidental drop. The case’s robust design, along with its internal foam layer, ensures the tool stays secure and well-protected, even during rough handling. This makes it a reliable option for both professional use and for those of us who tinker around with cars at home. It’s the kind of tool that feels like it’s going to last for years, even with regular use. Another factor that stands out about this automotive power circuit probe tester is its value for money. Considering how much it can do, I feel like I’ve gotten a great deal. Many similar products on the market are more expensive, and I was initially unsure whether this one would live up to expectations. However, after using it several times now, I can confidently say that it’s well worth the investment. The functionality and durability it offers at this price point are excellent, especially when you factor in the three-year warranty, which is a nice reassurance for anyone investing in a new tool. In conclusion, this automotive power circuit probe tester has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s a powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use tool that has helped me diagnose electrical issues with ease. Whether you’re looking to find a break in a loom, test fuses, or check for power in various components, this tool gets the job done. The build quality is top-notch, the protective case is a nice bonus, and the LED light indicator is incredibly useful. If you’re in the market for a circuit tester that delivers on performance and value, I wholeheartedly recommend this tool. Works great for tracing broken wires, need to try its other features.
I had a broken wire on my linbus from the battery to the smart alternator and this kit worked spot on for finding the break. Traced the break using this kit in around 10 mins and soldered and repaired the break in the cable. Very happy for the money and saved a trip to the garage for someone else to fix it.

Excellent Tool & Customer Service
I originally purchased the V200 Pro for automotive electrical diagnostics. Unfortunately, after a few months it developed a fault and stopped working correctly. I contacted VDIAGTOOL customer support, sent them a couple of videos showing the issue, and they quickly confirmed it was a faulty unit and arranged a warranty replacement. Throughout the whole process their communication was excellent. They were always quick to reply, polite, and genuinely wanted to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible. The replacement arrived promptly and has been working perfectly ever since. I'm an HGV roadside technician, so my tools get used regularly, and it's reassuring to know the company stands behind its products if something does go wrong. Great customer service, excellent communication, and a hassle-free warranty experience. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from VDIAGTOOL again. Infant I've just purchased the V500 VDIAGTOOL

5 Stars – Puts Electrical Gremlins on Notice As a diesel mechanic, this circuit fault finder has earned a permanent spot in my toolbox. It makes chasing down electrical gremlins a whole lot easier, especially when you’re dealing with wiring harnesses wrapped tighter than a Christmas present with hockey tape. Instead of unwrapping half the harness just to find one broken wire or open circuit, this tool helps narrow down the problem quickly and saves a ton of time. Whether it’s on trucks, trailers, or equipment, it takes the frustration out of tracking down those annoying faults that seem to hide for a living. A great tool for anyone who spends their days fighting wiring issues. It won’t stop every electrical gremlin from showing up, but it sure makes finding where they’re hiding a lot easier.

Pleasantly suprised on how well it works
Good things DO come in small packages. I purchased the Vdiagtool V200 kit to see how it compares to my expensive Powerprobe kit that I have in my toolbox at work. It basically does the exact same things for a fraction of the cost. First it comes in a small plastic case to house the leads as well as the probe and the signal sniffer. It’s a little tight for someone who just wants to throw it all in there, but you SHOULD be nice to your tools and wrap them up correctly and put them away correctly and they should last a LONG time. Using the probe was very easy. Attach the leads with the alligator clips to the probe lead, red to positive of the battery and black to a good ground (or you have the option of a 12v cig lighter plug). There are 2 – 3way rocker switches. One on the lead and one on the probe. The one on the lead is your main selector switch. Forward is for the probe and reverse is for the signal generator. The probe also has a round button in the center to select even more modes. AC Voltage, OHMS, and Diode/Continuity. I was pleasantly surprised to accidently come across this because I ALWAYS use a continuity test and most newer meters these days have them but they don’t have an alarm to notify you like this does. Otherwise it offers 12 tests you can preform: Diode Test (Reverse only), Polarity Test/Check, Continuity (my favorite), resistance (ohms), short check, ground test (good or partial ground), AC & DC Voltage, Voltage Injector, Signal Injector, Open circuit tester and Signal tracer. You have 2 VERY bright led lights in front that light up when you are using the main probe to “inject” a 12v power or ground to trouble shoot. These are done using the probes 3 way switch. Forward sends 12v (battery voltage to be fair, it isn’t regulated voltage) and depressing the switch down sends a ground signal. Also when you do this the display changes color to let you also know what mode you are in. RED for power and GREEN for ground. You would use this option say to test a window or door lock switch (be sure it’s a 12v switch and not a DATA run switch though first) or to test the window motor or lock actuator. Or in my case I ran aux backup lights on my truck and forgot which one of the dozen wires I ran is for that, Went wire by wire injecting voltage until the light lit up. Saved me from tracing the wire. With this kit I COULD HAVE traced it easily (minus crawling under a rusty truck) The signal is generated within the main probe using a 1.2Khz square wave for a digital signal. This is introduced by rocking the 3 way on the lead towards you, then you use the small alligator clips to hook up to the wire you want the signal to run through. Once you do that, you turn on the signal “sniffer” probe (battery was INCLUDED!) and verify you have signal by listening to the tone and then just follow the wire either by itself of in the loom. If the signal goes away before the device it is powering then you have an open (break in the wire) or a short in the wire and this will show you (via tone) exactly where that is IF that is what you are looking for. Overall I am happy with this. The larger kit offered obviously comes with more adapters and bells and whistles but for the average DIY Joe this is perfect. Does it replace a DMM? Well yes and no. it all depends on what you need it for. But for troubleshooting this is a MUST. It is roughly 20 feet over all in length which is good for MOST cars and trucks on the road today. I am sure they offer extensions which would be really handy to work on trailers because those wires always go BAD!
