So far I've had no problem using this. I'm able to charge my phone while using it as a poor-man's DAC to play music through my old stereo system. The connection is stable and I haven't heard any popping, hiss, etc. I know this isn't an audiophile device, but neither is a smartphone. This sure beats the hell out of Bluetooth though, and you can still charge your phone. I've been thinking of using an old phone as a dedicated media storage device until I get an actual dedicated one. The design is very durable and the components are housed in metal housings. Magnets are built into them which holds the two ends together, which is more handy than I originally thought. Old stereo systems can become a mess of wires pretty quickly and when you include a 2.5mm to 1/4" adapter to connect the old stereo-in plug to the amp it's a lot. This little device is perfect for my needs. I haven't noticed any heating issues but I have a dedicated amp. I'm using this as an adapter and I don't know how it would perform if you tried to power speakers directly. I think the value is great and the shipping was fast enough that I didn't move on to another project for a few weeks. It's a great buy and already paid for itself. I'm using VLC on my phone (free) to play my mp3 files, but you can use whatever you like if you don't care about owning music.

Works good on my galaxy tablet s10fe. Sounds great! Seems happier on one device,when move to samsung 22s phone had a hard time .getting it to work. So bought a different brand for phone.

Works great exactly what I needed. There can be some buzzing from certain charging cables. I use this in the classroom so my desktop speakers are most likely to blame. Solves my issues and is perfect plug and play.

I got these to go in my car as a permanent install as part of my car's 3.5mm. It remains functional despite the temperature of my vehicle climbing and dropping in the sun and doesn't get much hotter than the ambient temperature. The material is a good match so it won't melt like most rubber cables tend to. It has no issue coupling to my phone on the USB-C connection and even has a small enough opening for my phone's case. It has not shown any indication of being a point of failure or like it break any time soon due to where I'm using it, but the plastic parts feel rugged enough like they wouldn't break if frequently disconnected or if it was in your backpack for frequent use. The cable doesn't introduce any additional noise, using it in combination with a ground loop isolator will transfer some very clear sound. So far it has put up a great performance in my vehicle with frequent connections and disconnections. It is so good that I just wish it was a few inches longer with a plastic "H" shaped clip to help keep the individual cables closer together to make it absolutely perfect for my use case.

This was perfect for my car. I have a new Android mobile phone and like pretty much all of them these days, it doesn't have a headphone jack, and only a USB-C port. No problem, right? But my older JK Jeep Wrangler doesn't have a bluetooth enabled radio. So this solves that problem nicely by allowing me to charge the phone (connecting a short USB-C cable to a 12v to USB plug and have a headphone jack from this adapter to connect to the 3.5mm (headphone style jack) of my head-unit in my Jeep. I can listen to podcasts and charge the phone now! Update on usability: while it's not a problem WITH this adapter, it's important to realize that there is a behavior change caused BY this adapter . Specifically, your phone may send call rings, navigation directions and message notifications to the usb port when this is plugged in because the phone thinks you have headphones attached. This is not a problem if you're listening to the phone as a source on you cars radio/head unit, but if you listen to satellite radio or another source (besides the auxiliary port), you won't hear the notification because the phone is sending it to an input on the headunit that you aren't playing. The biggest drawback is you won't hear turn by turn directions from your phone's navigation app when listening to satellite radio. You may be able to override where the instructions play, as Waze does (e.g. play navigation instructions through speakerphone), but Google and Apple don't have this option as far as I can tell. Not this cables fault, it's the function of the phone, so no stars off.

At first, it worked well enough though it did occasionally make clicking sounds but i put with it because overall, it worked well enough. BUT after 6 months it totally stopped working. I tested it against another brand's USB-C-to-mini plug connector which worked fine. So it wasn't my phone + it wasn't my USB-C port. It was THIS Ugreen Magnetic connector that had stopped working. I contacted the Seller who asked me to perform the same tests i just did. I let them know i did the tests + it clearly is not working. I requested a replacement or a refund which was denied. I am not happy. The price point on this item is low enough that i think it is quite reasonable to send me a replacement as I'm willing to take another chance with their product. But NO replacement offered. Avoid this product as it may stop working in a few months + then that's it for your money.

TLDR: I've tried several other products, and this one has held up the best! I have experience with numerous 2-in-1 USB C to 3.5mm audio adapters. There was a time when i was buying 4 or 5 of them a year because they would go bad so quickly. The biggest issues i've experienced with other brands has been either (a) audio interference when you also have power plugged in, or (b) the cables themselves becoming shorted out. This product is more durable than any other i've tried. It also has great playback quality with no weird interference, buzzing, etc. The magnet function is actually helpful (not just a gimmick) - i think its part of what kept these wires from shorting out for so long. Because of the way i use these (listening to audio all night every night while sleeping), they all do eventually wear out. But this one easily lasted 5 times as long as any other

Tenía mis dudas sobre si comprar este adaptador, porque había leído algunas opiniones negativas, pero cuando lo probé me convenció su funcionamiento. Nada más se saca de la caja, se ve que es un producto de calidad. Tiene una construcción muy buena, y la función magnética para mantener las 2 partes juntas es muy útil y va muy bien. Conectándole unos auriculares, saca buen sonido, de la misma calidad que un móvil de los antiguos o mi placa madre Asus para gaming. Lo probé con Linux y con Android, y en las dos plataformas funciona perfectamente. Y sí que soporta la frecuencia de muestreo de 384 kHz que pone en la descripción del producto. Por último, voy a comentar sobre la función de alimentación del adaptador. Hice pruebas con un medidor USB y vi que la función USB-PD está bien implementada. Si el dispositivo USB a alimentar solicita (por ejemplo) 9 V, el adaptador le pide al cargador esos 9 V. Lo mismo con los 20 V que necesitan los portátiles. (No hice pruebas con más voltajes, pero supongo que también estarán soportados los 5 y 15 V). La parte de eficiencia energética también está bien implementada. Con el adaptador conectado pero sin funcionar, mi medidor USB no registra consumo. Cuando está funcionando, sacando sonido a un auricular, tiene un consumo de 0,15-0,20 W. En resumen, creo que este adaptador es muy buena opción de compra. Lo volvería a comprar sin ninguna duda.
