BEWARE OF PAPERBACK EDITION. ONLY BUY HARDCOVER.....SEE MY REVIEW.....Feed your F1 addiction !!!!!
BEWARE THAT PAPERBACK VERSION OF THIS BOOK BEING SOLD HERE IS AN EDITION MEANT TO BE SOLD ONLY IN INDIA, BANGLADESH, NEPAL, BHUTAN, SHRI LANKA, AND PAKISTAN! IT IS ALSO NOT THE NEWEST EDITION. I ORDERED IT AS A SECOND COPY FOR A FRIEND AND AM RETURNING IT WITN ANGER! I am a 77 year old F1 addict! I am a late comer to F1! I followed F1 for awhile until BMW/Williams dropped out! I returned about 4 years ago as the ground swell of interest in F1 began in the United States. Frankly it was just easier to follow F1 here at that point. I needed to fill in some of the blanks in my F1 knowledge. The Formula did this for me. I knew much of the history but revisiting it in this remarkable book was frankly exciting. I could not put the book down. At 1 in the morning I am reading the book and laughing at some of the stories. I have bought copies for several friends who like myself are F1 addicts. There is always more to learn. Thanks to the authors for feeding my addiction in this remarkable book.

Interesting, easy read, not an in-depth history, but still entertaining.
Just finished "The Formula" by Robinson and Clegg. I found it a pretty easy read, and full of interesting insights and anecdotes. Spends a lot of time on the business side, detailing how Ecclestone took F1 from a bunch of squabbling teams and tracks to the powerhouse it is now (and made a mint while doing it). Some interesting stories about some of the drivers and some of the more controversial engineering choices. All in all, I would recommend.
