A decal blackout set came with my car but for some strange reason it left one out. I thought it was a dealership mistake, but it’s not. They just don’t make a cover for this 1 stupid thing. It was bugging me and after searching I discovered this product. I’m very happy to report it works magically well. I was a little concerned when it was time to peel it off, thinking it would completely peel off or leave little wrinkles or jagged bits. It did not, it peeled off like it knew exactly what it was supposed to cover. If you watch the manufacturer’s YouTube video and follow their instructions, this will work. I bought the glossy black and it would be more of a satin finish in my opinion but it matches the oem covers just fine. Yes, it’s a little $ for 1 can of spray paint, but it’s still much less than buying the covers from the dealership or having a professional do it. There is really no risk of damage, make a mistake or don’t like it, peel it off and try again. It’s also kind of fun to do.

This was my first attempt at doing this and I must say if you follow the directions anyone can do it, it took about 4 hrs including prep time. Attached are before and after photos. Love the blackout look

I saw online how people were blacking out their vehicle logos and badging on their autos and decided to give it a try...I own a Polar White AMG and the chrome badging is difficult to see against a brilliant white background. So I wanted a little more contrast...I purchased the vehicle with the "Night package" and all the chrome is blacked out...except for the badging...really? So I researched purchasing black badges...the costs started adding up fast...over $150 for 4 blacked out badges...YIKES! So after watching some videos on how people were using this as a viable replacement for swapping out badges, I decided to give it a try...and the results are amazing...the badging now POPS and it gives the vehicle a more aggressive look...fitting for performance vehicle that it is! And application is super easy. Just make sure to watch the online videos first and follow the instructions...that first coat is super important...don't rush it! And the subsequent coats dry quickly...but there's still some waiting you'll be doing. But for me, the part that took the longest was masking the surrounding area...I wanted to make sure that I didn't have too much overspray...and now the AMG has the look I was going for! I'm going to do my Jeep Overland next...that should make that pop as well!

This stuff is awesome! Just make sure you apply it correctly and at least 5-6 coats. Mask off around the emblem leaving some paint showing for an easy peel after the last coat. The color texture and finished product looks awesome. If it’s anything like plastidip it should be very durable.

This is the best way to cover the chrome with a very elegant and durable flat black. The product is amazing and the coverage its very good and durable.
