Sorry to see this series end, but what a way to go :)
Oh I can now officially say that I have fallen hard for a Mob Boss Russian. In The Bastard's Bargain (The O'Malleys #6) by Katee Robert we finally get to see what makes the hot and very sexy Dmitri Romanov tick. We also get to see what happens to the dynamic between the 4 main mob families when they decide to join forces. have to tell you, this is one series that you will want to start from the beginning. The dynamic between the characters, the history, and what got them to this point are all revealed as the series unfolds. This is the end of an amazing series and it is the story of Dmitri and Keria.Dmitri Romanov needs a bride, and he is promised one Keira O'Malley. When he learns that her brother and head of the family is going to double cross him, he steals her away in the middle of the night and right to the courthouse where they become man and wife, sealing their fate and making it impossible for her family to take her from him. But he has more to worry about than her family. First he has to help his wife with here alcohol addiction, make sure she stays clean, oh, and try to find a way to make his family believe that he is still in control.Keira O'Malley dreamed of her wedding day, but never thought that is would turn out to be in a court house, no flowers, no dress, and to a man that while she thinks that he is sexy as sin, she knows that he will never love her. She had deep feelings of unworthiness and sorrow that keep her locked away in a bottle so that she does not have to feel the loss that she has suffered,But it is Dmitri, who at ever turn shows her that she is more than worthy, she is a queen in his eyes, and he offers her what she has never had before, the freedom to be his equal, the freedom to rule at his side, as he partner, the queen to his king. It is Dmitri that gives her back the joy of painting, something that she has not done since the sudden death of her beloved brother, Devlin, the one person who was always in her corner and always had her back. And it is Dmitri that offers her safety, security, and of all things the love that she so desperately craves. But when enemies of old threaten Keira, Dmitri will join forces with her family and his other rivals to keep her safe, but when Dmitri is the one taken, Keira will need to step up, become the strong leader and queen that Dmitri knows that she can be in order to get him back before time runs out.All I can say is WOW! I have always been fascinated with Dmitri Romanov and have seen different layers of his characters throughout this series, and I have to tell you, that this book just made me fall head over heals in love with him. He shows the world a tough and dominate side, but in private, he can be tender, he can be loving, he can be concerned and berates himself when he thinks that he has hurt Keira in some way. He is so protective of her, wanting to comfort and support her in all ways. Keira was a surprise to me. She always seemed like a flighty 21 year old who did not have it together, but in this book, you get to peel back the layers and see that underneath everything, she is wicked strong and has a backbone of solid steel. She is determined and driven. It are these traits that make her such a perfect match for Dmitri. I am sad to see this series come to an end, but what a way to end it. Highly recommended!

Starting over
I won this book from Goodreads. Overall I liked this book. Keira comes from the Irish mob family out of Boston and Dmitri comes from the Russian mob family out of New York city. Not order to avoid a war between the families, Keira agrees to marry Dmitri. I was not too sure about Keira in the beginning but by the end of the book, I really liked her. I liked Dmitry from the beginning and loved the way he was doing best looking out for her. Their attraction towards each other started before this book and only got stronger by the end. While Dmitri is trying his best to make Keira better, he finds out there is a mole in his household that is helping his enemy Mae. It was not hard to figure out who it was because it was the most obvious choice. By marrying, Dmitri is giving Keira a chance to start over and show everyone what she is made of. She was never treated like she mattered within her own family and was afraid she was just another pawn to Dmitri. Because of that, she was afraid of giving herself to him. Dmitri saw so much more to Keira than anyone gave her credit for and he wanted to try to help her reach her potential. When a showdown with Mae occurs, Keira comes into her own and becomes a force to be reckoned with. Some members of her family see the real her and like what they see. Up until then, her family were constantly jumping on Dmitri's case about stealing Keira and were convinced that she wasn't happy with him . They threatened to steal her back until the finally see that she is truly where she wants to be. I liked that the book had both povs, there was suspense, chemistry, and an all consuming love. I just wish the book had an epilogue letting me know what happens in the future with them.

A Bargain Worth Making
The O’Malleys was originally slated to be a 5 part series. That was before Dmitri Romanov muscled his way onto the scene and into readers’ hearts in book two. Katee Robert created such a magnetic, compelling character in this villain that readers—including myself—begged for the sexy Russian’s story. And then, thankfully, there were six.In decades of reading romance & romantic suspense, I have never, ever, fallen for a villain. So falling for Dmitri was a complete shock, and one I wasn’t comfortable with at first. After my initial shock wore off, I fully embraced my feelings for the mobster. Ever since Carrigan O’Malley boldly outplayed him in The Wedding Pact, I’ve hungered for his story. The two year wait has been long. One would think the exceptional stories in between would have made the wait more bearable. Yet they only served to heighten the need. Yes, need. After the deal Dmitri struck with the O’Malley patriarch to marry his oldest daughter was thwarted, Dmitri was determined he would have the remaining single daughter. But did he settle? It becomes clear Dmitri recognized something in Keira O’Malley that no one else had seen: Not her extensive family; certainly not me; not even Keira herself. It was this that made the unlikely pair a formidable force against the evil threatening all four crime families and the Romanov empire specifically.I must admit pairing my Dmitri with the youngest, most unstable, and my least favorite O’Malley wasn’t a move I appreciated until book five. It was then I began to warm up to Keira and trust that Katee Robert would do right by the menacingly seductive Russian who captured part of my heart. I should have never questioned Robert’s genius. This much anticipated finale is a culmination of a uniquely complex, deliciously hot, incredibly well-written series unlike any other. The Bastard’s Bargain is many things, but paramount is (crime) family drama, betrayal, justice, vengeance, love, and the ultimate metamorphosis. I not only got my hero, I got a bad@ss shero too. Many thanks to Katee Robert for an epic series that I will re-read for years to come. Just one more request, if I may: Epilogue novella, please. To fully enjoy each story, this series should not be read out of order.4.5 stars

So enjoyable
This is a really nice story and nice way to bring the whole O’Malley series together.I would hope Katee Roberts would write another series of the children of all the O’Malleys in the future though as I would love to read them.

GREAT read!
I waited so long, that I had forgotten I had pre-bought this novel. So when it arrived yesterday, I was actually surprised! Of course I sat and read the whole thing immediately. Katee Robert is such a great story teller. I have read all her books on Amazon, and I have never once been disappointed.Keira and Dimitri(Dima) were obviously meant for each other, and the progression of the characters was well done. I was totally involved in their story. I just may have to re-read this book tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed, and thoroughly recommend!!!!! A+++Please don't let us wait toooo long for the next one!......
