Little Speedy QIDI!
Because it is a small airplane is it for beginners? I guess it depends on your level in the hobby! For me just getting started I found myself with a handful! After minor adjustments finally I'm flying with confidence growing with a few minutes of flight time, this little QIDI was a handful even in stabilized mode. You have to stay in the throttle or it stalls out, so your learning of the controls become less confident experience. Soooo go slow and take back control by slowing down my learning process and realize your not going to learn it all in one day! After numerous crashes and understanding the functionality of the aircraft I was then able to go a full battery charge of 10 minutes or more! One last thing the rudder/accelerator stick is just way to sensitive for me. Happy flying!

I would give it no stars if I could money wasted
Do not try flying the plane if when you rock back-and-forth the Gyro flaps don’t automatically move. After crashing the plane to pieces breaking the motor mount and glue it all back together three times. It finally broke off a piece inside I believe it was very important piece. All the servos and Rutters are stuck in a hard left position towards the end of flying it. I hope this helps someone else I found that if it’s not responding, shut the remote controller off and bind it again Then the auto stabilizers work. 30% of the time

DONT BUY
My grandkids were flying it for the first time and the motor is only held in with Styrofoam and it broke the styrofoam I mean and the motor wouldn't go back in correctly. But everything else about the plane was great

Qidi has stepped it up with the 580
QiDI 580 green. This plane is great. No troubles with the first flight. Response is good. I love the lights. Battery’s have good long flight times. The remote is a little cheap feeling in your hands, but it works and apparently this thing will link up to a radio master controller if you wanna upgrade. I tried all moods except inverted flight due to high winds. But the plane flies well in the wind up to 5 to10 mile an hour gusts and it was a controllable. With the one touch stunt button I was able to perform rolls and loops with no problem. Great looking plane. And the best part is the price $99. E flight sells a model very similar is scale and type of plane for $180 bucks with no controller or battery and the build quality is all better on the QiDi 580.

Fun plane, but have realistic expectations
I bought this plane from overseas not amazon. It is not worth $100 but is still very fun to fly for a basic beginner plane. Unfortunately due to tariffs, this will likely become the normal price for entry level planes. The transmitter arrived broken and would not maintain a signal after about 30 feet. The control rod for the rudder was also angled weird so that it rubbed a lot against the plane's body. The plane is mostly only usable in beginner mode, but doing so only gives limited elevator control so you often barely have enough elevator to keep the plane up in the air. It feels like the gyro is fighting you and makes it very difficult to fly with any kind of wind over 6-8mph. It is also difficult to switch in and out of beginner mode quickly because it is a toggle switch instead of a button. So it's easier to lose control since it takes longer to go back to beginner mode after doing a stunt. Most cheap planes have a small battery compartment so you can't mess up the placement, but the qidi 560 battery bay is quite long, maybe almost twice as long as the battery. So it's important to find out what position for the battery balances the center of gravity otherwise the plane will not fly stable. The plane had difficulty staying in the air and also would fly off to the right. For some reason, adjusting rudder trim on the transmitter did not fix the issue. After adjusting the rudder connecting rod and battery position the plane would fly straight and turned much easier. When there is little to no wind, the plane flies very smoothly and the limited elevator/rudder authority is not an issue.

Badly in Need of a Prop Saver.
Right out of the box: * No instructions * Needs a prop saver or folding prop * Landing gear does not quite fit in provided slot, leaving the battery door to bend in order to close. * First flight, felt heavy and clunky. Lost control and lawn-dart-landed even in beginner mode As a beginner's plane, this falls far short of the RcHobby Sport Cub 500. The brushless motor sounds sexy, and the look of the plane is impressive - but the flying characteristics are not so friendly, even though being more aerobatic than the SuperCub 500, it's just a bit fast, does not like zero power, is slower to respond to control input, andvreally does just occassionally falk out of the sky into a lawn-dart landing for no apparent reason. Watch some of the videos abdvyou will see this happen to others.
