Men's Tactical Fleece SoftShell Jacket Waterproof Winter Coat

I would just like to start off by saying that this jacket fits well and there are some reviews that I have read giving it a low amount of stars and saying that the pockets aren't real. Perhaps they got a defective jacket but all of the pockets on mine are functional and real. It is pretty durable and water seems to bead off of it although I imagine like anything water will get through eventually especially if you're swimming with it. The fleece interior is very warm and comfortable. I see in other reviews as well that they mentioned the zipper is on the "wrong" side. The zipper mechanism is on the left hand side instead of the right hand side which really doesn't matter to me it functions I am not concerned with zipper etiquette. Some people are led to believe that this is a woman's jacket because the zipper is on the left, well I've seen soft shell jackets for women as I bought some for my partner and they are usually pleated around the upper chest and armpit area to allow room for breasts. This jacket is not pleated in such a way so I would say that's wrong. Although women can wear the jacket I'm just saying it does not possess that pleat that allows extra room for lady parts I would love if this had an attachable Hood as it does not the hood is permanently attached but can be rolled away although I'm not sure why you would want to anyway but you can you have options. That does not detract from the quality of the jacket in any way as it is not stated as having a removable Hood so there's no reason to deduct a star for that. This jacket will keep you warm it will keep you protected and it looks good. It's true to size as far as I can say and the material is satisfactory. It does have pull cords within to adjust the fit of the jacket as well as the hood and in other reviews I have taken note that they report their jacket not having retention clasps for the chords but mine does. Again I don't know if they got it defective jacket or if this jacket has changed and the company has fixed the issues. But that being said my jacket is complete and it has everything the bad reviews say it does not so quite happy with it.

Im really impressed with this jacket. It has a very heavy soft shell material. It is fleece lines. The sleeves have a great velcro and elastic cuff. Lots of pockets. Double material over elbow area. I have had lots of big name soft shell jackets and this is ever bit if not better then those big name brands. I bought this jacket to wear for adventure riding motorcycles. I have the big heavy expensive ADV jackets and hate them! I have started using the Alpinestar bionic V3 armor with chest protector. I am 5'11" and 240 lbs. I am very muscular and the XL fits me wearing my AplineStar Bionic V3 chest protector with elbow and back pad system and the XL fit perfectly over it all with a T-shirt and jersey on. I would and may buy another one of these jackets. This is not a rain jacket and it is obvious looking at the regular zipper that it is not a waterproof due to having a normal zipper. The first thing I did was water proof the jacket with spray on water proofing. It will be good enough for me.

So I’m 510 and 245 ish, I ordered the 2XL and it fits good, XL would’ve “fit” better but this is an outer layer that breaks the wind and keeps water off of you, so with the 2xl I’m able to wear layers under it to keep me warm. I wear this over a viktos chest rig and was still comfortable. Pros: hoodie can roll up and be tucked away Really like the cuff adjustment Pit zips to let out heat The location of the front hand pockets, I’ve had others that had the pockets too far to the rear and made it uncomfortable Last thing is the hood and collar, large and sticks out far enough to cover the brim of your hat There are other things but these are my favorites Cons: the pit zips, if you’re wearing short sleeves under this and it’s cold out, these zippers are just as cold Although it has plenty of pockets, I believe the one on the left sleeve at your wrist is pointless imo, I can’t think of anything I would store there other than some kind of paper, anything with any weight will twist the sleeve, can’t stand to feel something twisted. Would’ve been better to have an exterior chest pocket for a cell phone imo. On the bottom of the main front zipper, it has 2 zippers? Maybe this serves a legit purpose that I’ve not seen but for me, it’s aggravating sometimes trying to get it unzipped because they have to be perfect for it to come off. I’ll probably try and take one of them off. Overall I really like it, especially price wise,

the company i work for provides a winter coat but its too warm for anything above freezing. i was looking for something lighter to wear when its in the 40s and 50s. i have a couple other soft shell jackets but for work i needed a black jacket. the price was right on this and the soft shell material is great when its raining or windy and i have to get in and out of the vehicle. its warm enough for wearing when its in the 40s but i dont overheat when i get back in the vehicle. the material stretches with you, which is great for driving. the sizing doesnt seem to take into account anything other than a tshirt underneath. following the sizing chart, i initially ordered a medium and it was fine the first day when i was wearing a work tshirt. but it was too tight if i put on a work sweatshirt. so i ordered a large and im sending the medium back. the large is much better suited for anything i'd wear under it. the hood is a nice touch, especially with the little visor to help keep rain out of your face. overall im very happy with the jacket and would recommend it.

Update 4 - Yeah, my reorder came today; with tags, looking great! This zipper even seamed to be working normal out of the gate! Awesome.. Update 3 - Fingers Crossed, I've re-ordered again. Its a great looking jacket, and the material is better than most. I've had similar, that were a little warmer. But I've definitely had several similar. And am still leaving this as a 5 star item. If all goes well it'll be nice to keep wearing, and I do think its especially stylish.. Update 2 - I ordered myself another of these jackets, but what I received was greasy, stained, dirty, piling, hairy, opened, and tagless. See images. This was in the Return Pile at the UPS store within an hour of my receiving it! Update 1 - Its been a couple years I've been wearing this jacket now. When I first got it I noticed the zipper was hard to pull, almost like it was cross threaded somehow; that never went away. I figured after 2 years that was the way it was. I'm surprised it lasted a couple years, almost exactly. I love this material, I live in New England; our weather changes to the extreme day to day. This is the jacket Material I wear most often(Fall Spring and half of the Winter.) This is my 5th jacket like this, but my first with an extra warm hood. The size is pretty accurate. I actually bought an XL and an XXL. I like my coats large for style and I like to have room to layering underneath, so I kept the XXL; though the XL looked pretty sharp too(just without any layers,) I was stuck between the sizes. I'm not sure my real Winter Coat would be much warmer with enough layers. I may purchase a second, in another color; to be seen at night, and because it was a good enough deal I'd get mad if I ever ripped or lost one..

This is a great jacket. When you get this jacket you will think it might be a little thin, but it does its job. I like the style of this jacket. I it looks pretty cool. This jacket will do a great job protecting you from the elements. It completely holds the wind and rain out. I've had this jacket on during wind and rain and it has not failed where others have. I recommend this jacket to anyone. The hood is large enough that the rain will not hit you in the face even in high winds. It seems to be correct in sizing. I'm 6'0" 240lbs and purchased an XXL and it fits great. You will not be disappointed. It's a great value for the money you spend.

For the money, it's a decent softshell. But it's purpose built, not for general use. And not for everyone. Pros: 1- Keeps out wind and light to moderate rain for short periods of time and ries quickly. 2- Pit zips help ventilate. 3- Adjustable hood cinches tight. 4- Nice cuff closures. 5- High set pockets for access while wearing a harness, rig or pack with a wide hip belt. Very affordable. (This is also a con) 6- There are tons of companies out there selling essentially this same jacket. (It's based on a surplus military jacket design.) This is one of the higher quality versions out there. Cons: 1- Main zip shuttle is on the left (not made for American market). 2- No waterproof zips. (Can't criticize it too much at this price point) 3- No hand warmer pockets located where you are probably used to having them. You'll find yourself wanting to leave the long pocket zips all the way down so you can access them easily, down low where you're used to finding pocket openings. If you leave them open, everything falls out. There is no pocket "well" as the zipper goes all the way to the bottom of the pocket. You'll drop your keys/phone. 6-The arms are way too long, so they bunch up above the (well made) velcro wrist tabs. 7- It's a "slim/athletic" fit. Big at the shoulders, narrow at the hips. Perfect if you're He-man. But again, not for most of us. If you have any extra belly, you'll have to size up and deal with the extra space around the chest and shoulders. 8- The jacket material is heavy enough that the extra material in the shoulders and sleeves adds unnecessary bulk, epecially with the additional pockets and zips. Not a good jacket to keep in your pack. 9- Lastly, it's a "tactical" jacket which may be a plus if that's what you want. All the velcro patch fields and extra zippers and pockets are not so good for every day wear or for people who don't want to stick out. They add weight, and limit the uses for the jacket. Overall, this jacket is good for the shooting range or the trail when you know the weather will be chilly/wet. If you don't need the patches and weird extra pockets, you may be better off looking for another budget hooded softshell like the ones from Amazon sellers like Outdoor Ventures or Little Donkey Andy.

Looks more expensive than it is. Well made, good quality and my adult son, who likes plain functional attire, liked it.

Coat is very well made but on the small side. Recommend ordering at least 1 size larger than the Recommend size.

Extremely impressed with this jacket. Very high quality and a very comfortable fit at a much better price than similar jackets I've seen. I'll be buying another in a different colour.
