Bought this as a way to wash a muddy spaniel both at home and more importantly, before getting back in the car after walks in other places. Simple idea that does the trick. The air pump is quick and effective at building up pressure in the container, and while it's not a strong jet of water it's more than adequate for rinsing mud off a dog. The brush attachment is particularly helpful for cleaning wellies. The 8L size holds plenty of water for thorough washing of both spaniel and boots. It's a bit expensive, but as long as it lasts a good while and I hope it will as it seems sturdy, it'll be worth it.

I take it in the car with me, as I often drive to different locations to walk my dogs. It's so easy to use and makes such a huge difference! Even with a dog hammock in the back of my car, the car was always getting filthy and needing constant cleaning (the dogs were needing regular baths too!). Now being able to properly wash the mud off my dogs (and wellies!) every time before taking them home means that my car (and dogs) can be kept much cleaner for longer without regular deep cleans - and so can my house!

This is a wonderful idea and works pretty well. Fill with hot water and put in foot-well of your car. After a walk pump it up and wash your dogs off before putting them back in for the drive home. With the wet weather we've been having recently my two hounds have been filthy after walks. This does a good job of washing the worst off before a towel dry. The boot of my car and the mat they sit on has remained clean for weeks now, where as I was having to hose it off after each walk before getting the Mud Daddy. Great for cleaning muddy boots too. For the money I'd say it's massively over-priced and the manufacturer is cashing in whilst they can. Presume there's a patent and the will to protect their IP if others try to emulate. Manufacturing costs must be less than 20% of the retail price. Their prerogative I suppose but with a lower RRP they'd sell a lot more IMHO. Anyhow, I still bought one having seen one in use by another dog owner after a group walk... Anyway, deducted one star due to price vs. what it is. Moulded plastic container, pump with a thin hose and trigger actuated shower-head with brush. The quality is OK but for the money I was expecting it to be higher quality. Don't get me wrong, it does the job but, for example, the strain relief on the hose where it attached to the shower-head is just a spring that, every time I use it, winds up half way down the hose and not doing it's job. A clip of some sort to attach the shower-head to the side of the container when stored or in transit would have been nice (I use a Velcro strap). I have the 8L version which is enough for a large Golden Retriever, a Black Lab and some muddy boots. The brush does get clogged by the coat from the GR and needs combing out after each outing, not really a problem. If you have a single dog the 5L one would be sufficient.

OMG, I have to spaniel shaped mudhounds. I have seen these, and decided to take the plunge. This is my new best friend, its small compact, keeps the water warm for a long while. It cleaned the mud off two large spaniels and there was enough to clean our wellies as well. This little beauty helped us clean up in the space of 20 minutes, when I would have spent nearly an hour bathing and cleaning the dogs. No muddy floors, car was cleaner, dogs were happier. Just need to top up the pressure every now and again when washing. If you have mudhounds, this is a must. Your car will thank you.

What a Fantastic thing. I only wish i'd had the large mud daddy years ago. It fits easily into the car for very muddy pooches after walks, but so great for the garden to wash them. We have a a Labrador and Collie. The collie has very long fur and it matts easily, this means we can wash in warm water . I love it, and think Daisy does as well. Well made, easy to use and put handle on and a good price.

Have put off purchasing a Mud Daddy for a long time as didn't believe they would do the job. Having to clean my dog everyday currently it is so wet and muddy and using the hose seems unkind this time of year. So wish I had bought one a long time ago. Fill it up with nice hot water before leaving for walk, hour later its cooled to nice temperature and cleaning the pup is so easy. Love the brush fitting that gets down to skin and dog is now nice and clean everyday 😁

Easy to use and very portable. I am disappointed though in the way the water comes out and no adjustments to the head . Only about 4/5 jets of water come out and it would be easier to have more of a shower option. It does have good power when pumped but not much good if you're limited to how much water comes out ! I nearly brought another attachment but it does the same thing ! I would not buy again and wouldn't recommend because of this .

This is now the 3rd mud daddy I’ve had to buy as the previous 2 split along the seam. The first lasted a few years, the second less than 1, I’ve also had 2 of the power brushes, neither was any good, one I returned for a refund, I didn’t even bother with the second. Not an upgrade on the original.over the time I’ve used this I’ve gone through several pumps and a few handles, it’s a great idea but the product quality is just not there for me, hence the review. Maybe it doesn’t like being used twice a day throughout the winter. It’s also stored inside so never subject to frost, and having leaked all over my car numerous times I now have to transport it in a waterproof bag. I’m hoping my experience is a one off

We used this occasionally to clean our dog when we go to the beach, so it wasn’t used every week or every day. It has been used 20 times, no more than that before the pump stopped working, so now it doesn’t work at all. We have had it for just 1 year.

Worked really well for my 2 large, bath resistant dogs (GSD and pit mix). Got the 8L size and ran out of water before I was able to wet, shampoo, and rinse both of them. I think this is meant for just a rinse, not a full bath, so no complaints—next time I will fill it again between dogs. A really great fix for my dogs, who seem to fear the sound of running water.
