QMx Serenity - Little Damn Heroes Maquette 6

I love this Serenity maquette, it captures the detail of the Firefly class ships extremely well and it's just a pleasure have sitting on my desk at work. Plenty of people stop by and to view the details on this ship and wonder where it came from. The painting is first class. I've ordered models from other companies and it just they had a prototype done by a professional artist and the production runs are just awful. This isn't the case for the Quantum Mechanix models, and this isn't the first one I've had. They do tend to be a bit fragile, so don't handle them like a toy. Another difficult aspect is keeping the shuttles around when people poke at the ship. Both shuttles have a tend to fall off or end up outside their range of Serenity, you may need to help them out. It would have been nice if the shuttles had magnets in them to keep them in place, but that's only due to the fact that everyone wants to admire the ship and pick it up. I consider that a good problem to have. Overall, I love it and would definitely recommend picking one up if you loved the show and it's ship, Serenity.

This model is absolutely beautiful! Large, and extremely detailed. It is very well packaged, which is important, as some parts are fairly delicate. I wish there had been some instructions included. One small piece (solar panel?) had come off, but was easily repaired with a drop of Gorilla Glue. Also note that the two shuttles are not attached, and just sit on Serenity's wings. The little wire frame that supports one shuttle (which has deployed wings) in the air is cleverly done.

The product itself is beautiful and perfect in every way, however the idiots who packaged it have ruined it. The first one I ordered had the right motor/wing broken off as well as several missing sun shields. So I ordered a replacement and of course the right motor/wing has broken off again. It is not meant to be broken off, you can visibly see it broke. The problem with this product is its packaging. The Styrofoam on the inside is made incorrectly and puts extra pressure on the wing. So it doesn't matter how many replacements I order, the packaging meant to protect will cause it to break. Rather than the Styrofoam being cutout around the motors it actually arches up, causing all the weight to be on the wing motors. Ultimately, it broke nice enough and the rest is intact enough on my replacement that I will glue it together and keep it. I just find it sad that you have an amazing product and its worth every penny, but you break it every time due to crappy packaging. Would give 5 stars if I received one that wasn't broken.

This model of Serenity is simply beautiful. Not nearly as green as in the amazon picture but very close to what it looks like in the series. Marvelous detail, stunning even. This thing is fragile though as far as the little bits & pieces like the solar panels, they will break off easy (I broke one off just holding it the first time. No big deal though as it is easy to fix with a little super glue just like the other reviews say. I wouldn't fault this at all for being fragile, just need to be careful handling it. It will look bitchin sitting on any shelf at home or at work. So worth the price and I'm very glad I purchased this. Just wish I could afford the Big Damn Replica that QMx makes, this little one is a nice piece though.

Bought this as a bday present. Sat in its box for a month waiting for the big day. Open the box up, take all the tape off of the styrofoam, make a comment about the “inspected by” sticker on the side. Take out Serenity and the wing is broken. For the amount of money I paid for this we shouldn’t be searching for super glue to fix it on the day we get it opened. Very disappointed.

Bought this for a secret pal at work. The item itself is great! Unfortunately one of the wings was broken off of it when I go it. Also, some of the styrofoam that protects it is discolored and beat up, which leads me to believe this was a used item and not new. Ended up buying some model glue for the broken piece since I did not have time to return it to get a replacement.

I've bought several pre-built models before and the quality of the QMX Serenity is just about the highest I've ever owned. This isn't a toy. It's to be displayed. It's solid and somewhat heavier than expected. The level of detail easily establishes it as serenity as depicted in the series, after the slight redesign. The packaging is robust and showcases how much work they put in to making a good model. There are no moving parts. Two shuttle included. One with wings fixed out, another with wings fixed in. If you're a firefly/serenity fan, you should get this.

The model is nicely detailed and well put together. Mine arrived undamaged and well packed. The only detail I would change would be to have a 3rd shuttle with the wings folded so that the model could be displayed with both shuttles docked. A set of landing legs would be an interesting add on accessory.

Reçu dans les temps, bien emballé, aucun dommage sur le produit. La maquette en elle-même est une très belle pièce de collection pour les fans, plus petite que ce à quoi je m'attendais, mais je suis tout de même très satisfait de mon achat!

Ich kann meinem Vorredner nur absolut zustimmen. Das Modell ist sehr detailliert und die Handbemalungen sind auch gut gelungen! Natürlich mussten einige Kompromisse im Gegensatz zum Original gemacht werden, um dem Modell mehr Standfähigkeit zu geben. An der ein oder anderen Stelle wäre das Modell sonst zu anfällig für Schäden gewesen. Das gute Stück habe ich hier bei Amazon über "Binaryguys" bestellt. Wichtig zu sagen ist wohl, dass die Abbildung, die hier gezeigt wird allein farblich nicht dem tatsächlichen Modell entspricht. Der Grünstich im Bild hätte mich nämlich fast davon abgebracht, diese Serenity überhaupt zu bestellen... Um euch anderen die, unter Umständen, längere Internetrecherche zu ersparen, seid gewiss, das Modell ist nicht grün. Die zwei Shuttles sind auch im Lieferumfang mit enthalten. Alles in Allem bin ich rundum zufrieden mit diesem Kauf.

Modell ist der Hammer, musste mir gleich ein Autogramm besorgen. Ich bin völlig begeistert von der Detailverliebtheit. Sehr schönes Modell.

Nice, sturdy and looks great, anyone who loves Serenity will love this. Seems very pricey seems like it should cost £30 not nearer £90 Only down side is the little shuttles that are going to get lost.
