We are always running out of ice and this has solved the problem. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. This ice maker is excellent and will delivery the 26 lbs. of ice per day. What a lot of people don't understand about countertop ice makers is that when the ice is made it is about 27 degrees and the ice maker is not a storage freezer. Think of it like the ice that was just made will sit in the ice maker which is like keeping ice in a cooler. It won't get colder it will just slowly melt and then gets turned back into ice again. Keep in mind when you pull ice out of your kitchen freezer that has been in there for several hours it is around 0 degrees vs. the 27 degrees right out of the countertop ice maker. So, ice from your freezer is going to last a lot longer in a drink than ice out of this countertop ice maker. So, that may not be ideal for some if you are having a drink outside on a hot day and not using an insulated cup. For best results take the ice out of the countertop ice maker and put it in a gallon ziplock bag and place it in the freezer for a little while so it will get down to the 0 degrees. That is not necessary though. The ice that comes right out of the machine is plenty cold enough for drinking beverages indoors. If you want to use the ice outdoors just place the ice in an insulated cup. Pros: Very quality built machine. Very easy to use. It uses lights to notify you of the status rather than annoying beeps. It really does make 26 lbs. of ice in an hour. First ice in about 8 minutes. Full basket of ice in about an hour. Pauses itself when ice basket is full and will resume ice production automatically as soon as some ice is removed. Light comes on when water needs to be added (keep in mind you still have a full basket of ice when this triggers). Melts very slowly and if you leave it on over night it only comes on once or twice to replace the ice that melted. Quite operation. It doesn't take up a lot of countertop space so we are able to leave it out and it matches our stainless steel fridge. It comes with a nice ice scoop which is great for parties. This ice maker keeps dropping ice every 8 minutes. The cord is very long so it doesn't have to be right up against the outlet. Cons: The only con I have about the machine is trying to drain the water remaining when you are done using it. There is a drain plug underneath it that is a little tricky to use because you can't see underneath the machine and you can't just turn the machine upside down to drain it per their instructions. That will harm the machine. What I found to be a great solution is instead of using the drain plug I use a microfiber towel to soak up all the water left in the machine. That only takes a quick second and you don't have to move the ice maker over the sink to drain it. I then leave the lid open to make sure it dries out. So it really isn't a con if you use the microfiber towel. It is so easy this way which means I never mind using the machine even to make a small amount of ice.

Great Little Ice Maker. We purchased this because our ice make in the fridge broke, so this was a temporary replacement. Turn out, this is better than the ice maker in the fridge. It is quicker and make better ice. This was a great surprising purchase. The only issue I have is the sound. It is not overly loud, but it is not whispler quiet either. But, its not too much to deal with/ In addition, the cleaning is not the easiest thing in the world. it is just a small space, but that is not something you have to do often.

Great little Ice maker. I have 3 Frigidaire Ice makers, and this one is a smaller model. It would absolutely have 5 stars but it's a little loud to sleep with in a camper and it works best if you unload it and put the ice in the freezer as it doesn't keep the ice forever. It will melt in a few hours and will make more to keep the tray full. It is fast though! Plug it in and just a few minutes later you have Ice!

Bottomline - I like this ice maker and will buy this model again when I need to replace it. We purchased this ice maker so that we did not have to go to the store every two to four days to buy a bag of ice. Both my wife and I enjoy ice in our drinks, filling our insulated mugs first thing in the morning and adding ice trough out the day. We only run this machine for a few hours each day, emptying the basket into a freezer bag to allow the ice to fully freeze before we break up any chunks and dump it onto our ice bin. We also add water from a filtered picture every time we empty the ice bin. This system has worked really well for us. The intermediate bag ensuring that we don’t end up with the cubes all frozen together. It may seem as if this is a lot of extra work, but neither of us mind it as we really like the size and quality of the cubes that it makes in large mode. This ice maker does produce a decent amount of noise when operating, but has we only have to run it one or two hours per day, it has not been an issue for us.

Lovely item, but a bit small. We ended up buying another, larger model also.

**Disappointing upgrade — frequent jamming ruins an otherwise useful appliance** I replaced my older countertop ice maker (same brand) after it finally wore out. The previous model was no longer available, so I bought the current version expecting similar performance. That was a mistake. The new unit repeatedly stops producing ice because the scoop mechanism fails to clear all the cubes from the tray. The machine jams, and it simply sits there doing nothing until you intervene. This happens far too often and requires constant babysitting. My old ice maker never had this problem — it reliably ejected every cube and kept running without drama. This feels like a clear design regression. Whatever changes were made to the new system made the machine less reliable, not better. If you need a countertop ice maker that just works with minimal fuss, look elsewhere or stick with older proven models if you can still find them. This one is a frustrating step backward.

This works EXACTLY as the description states and makes ice so SUPER FAST it's unreal!! I haven't had it very long and I've made about 6 full batches of ice and have them in my Freezer in Zip Lock bags. I haven't used it long enough to know if as others have stated that the ice making little stems start rusting. I alway very carefully put a lint free cloth back on them to wipe off any drips and then I leave it open to completely dry when I'm done using and ALWAYS pull the plug on the bottom to drain it and take the little filter inside off and dry it completely. Don't forget to plug the on the bottom back on before you store it away for next use or your water will go right back onto the Counter. It makes ALOT of ice when you fill it to the max line inside the reservoir. Seems like I've just gone about my business I hear it stop dropping ice into the basket and it's full and needs to be emptied. IF, I get busy and forget to pay attention the Ice will melt and just go back into the reservoir to make more ice again so no big deal. So far I just love this machine!! My Samsung Fridge that is awesome stopped making ice and has been making a TOTAL mess inside my Fridge with water all over underneath the bottom of my Crisper section. If you look at the cost of replacing the Icemaker, this machine is a great value. Seems like ALOT of folks are having the same issue with their Samsung Fridge Icemakers. Shame on Samsung because I paid over $3K for my Fridge just a few years a go, and of course it is out of Warranty!!!

Tenía meses batallando con la máquina de hielos de mi refrigerador y un montón de dinero tirado porque no quedaba bien y esta máquina vino a resolver todos mis problemas , siempre hay hielo suficiente para todos , fácil manejo , cabe en cualquier parte , de buen material y combina con el acero inoxidable del resto de los aparatos de cocina . Ligeramente ruidosa al principio pero luego te acostumbras y ya ni lo notas . Los hielos son un poco más pequeños que los del refrigerador pero enfrían bien y no se derriten rápido en la bebida . Muy contenta con mi compra
