Very good stock pot
This is a very deep stock pot, the Teflon thus far as pretty durable I've used this stock pot for about 2 years for everything, but note I said it's quite tall if you're looking for something shorter maybe one of the other models but if you're looking for something that's very tall this is the one for you

Better than expected!!!
After reading much on the reviews online for this pot, I decided to order it and hoped that at least it would work as for my needs. What I received went well beyond my expectations for this pot! The finish is well made and the top fits perfectly all the time. There's that metal-chemical smell when you first remove the lid from the pot, as with any type of goods which receives special coatings of protection. After a generous bath in vinegar and another bath in concentrated orange cleaner, the odor is kaput! The pot is tall but not so much as to be hard to cook in the stovetop. Clean up is a breeze and the outside will not hold runs as others. The material in the lid knob as well as the two side handles is not the type used on my T-Fal set, they feel more plastic than rubbery. The pot heats evenly and as expected from non-stick interiors, foods will not cling to the walls or interior bottom. My only complaint would be that the external bottom is hard to clean when spills reach the base, as the grooves are anything but easy to scrub. Other than this minor setback, this is another great product from the T-Fal line which is becoming a classic stamp in our kitchen! If you want your non-stick pots and cooking sets to last, dump every piece of metallic spoons and serving ware that you normally use to cook in your kitchen! We have a set from 7 years ago made by T-Fal which still retains the non-stick abilities like the first day they were unboxed and used! No matter how much they tell you is ok to use metal spoons and stuff, don't! Update! 11/05/2012 Man! This is not a "pot" but the "Pot" of pots! What a POT! Still like new after heavy, and I mean heavy use! The problems faced by others must be due to overheating the pot in the first place! Coated pots are NOT to be used with high heat at any given time! Apart from the normal wear from heavy use, the pot is the best value for the money! You won't be sorry if you order this pot! UPDATE!!! 06/07/2013 After quite some nice time using this pot, the results are undeniable! The pot is good for the money paid! Again, don't use any metal serving ware or spoons and the coating will remain intact for years. I'm posting a few pictures as an update to the coating inside and outside of the pot, so you can judge on it after almost two years of weekly use. Pictures speak better than words... If your take care of your pot, it will last for a long time in service! Update! 09/10/2015 Heavy every other day use and still in good shape! Some scuffs here and there, but still in top shape. It's a very good value for the buck. I'm happy I read as many reviews as I did before I purchased it. The coating is still intact for the most part. The bottom cleaning was hit and miss with many products, until I started to use a bit of baking soda. The lid is just the same as when I got it home. No warping, no residue build up in the inside seam, no lost parts. The handles are still firmly attached and the molding on them still as good as when new. Overall, if you can still find a pot like this, it's well worth the buck. The pictures 6 to 9 are from 09/10/2015!!! Update 05/31/2017!!!!!!! Still the pot of pots! No problems so far ( knock on wood). The coating has faded a bit more as of lately, but its non-stick properties are still there. Just normal wear after so many years of usage. Best por for my money! Pot'o luck!? Update 6/18/2019 Still cooking weekly with it! Happy with my purchase!

Great pot!
As a pro- home chef, I demand high-quality cookware that can withstand the rigors of daily use in my kitchen. I recently purchased the T-fal Specialty Nonstick Stockpot 12 Quart Cookware, and I must say, I am impressed with its performance. The pot is made of high-quality materials that ensure durability and longevity. The nonstick surface is perfect for cooking soups, stews, and other dishes that require a lot of liquid, as it prevents food from sticking to the bottom of the pot. The 12 quart capacity is perfect for cooking large batches of food, which is essential in a busy restaurant kitchen. What I like most about this pot is that it is dishwasher safe, making it easy to clean and maintain. The pot is also oven safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, which allows me to transfer it directly from the stovetop to the oven, saving time and effort. The pot's handle is comfortable to grip and stays cool even when the pot is on the stove, which is essential for preventing burns and injuries. The lid fits tightly, ensuring that heat and moisture stay inside the pot, which is critical for achieving the perfect texture and flavor in soups and stews. I am pleased with my purchase of the T-fal Specialty Nonstick Stockpot 12 Quart Cookware. It is a high-quality product that provides excellent performance, is easy to clean and maintain, and is a great value for the price. I would highly recommend this pot to any chef or home cook who is looking for a reliable and versatile cookware.

Pretty Good Pot
I was nervous about this stockpot but it works great! Additionally it works on my induction oven unlike many T-fal products. I had t make a large batch of red beans and rice and this pot did its job. It cooked thoroughly, brought all the flavors together and did not disappoint. I would suggest cooking low and slow with this pot. Great product for the price.

Soups on
Love it. Non stick, easy to clean. Height and capacity perfect for our soups. We eat soup just about every day. So making a large quantity to freeze by portions is perfect for us. Excellent choice

Great stockpot that wont take up room
I have a great set of nonstick cookware but the largest pot is 4 quarts. I needed something larger for preparing soups. I had my choice narrowed down to Farberware and T-fal. Based on comparison reviews, T-fal seemed to be the superior brand in this price range. Amazon delivered on time. I read the literature and followed the instructions to wash and season the pot before its first use so I did and it was ready for use the following morning. I prepared 6 quarts of vegetable soup. The pot heated quickly and the non-stick performed great for sautéeing the aromatics. And when I had to bring the soup to a simmer while covered it did it beautifully and the glass lid does not steam up so I could keep an eye. After the soup finished cooking I decided to hand wash and not use the dishwasher. Since nothing stuck to the pot washing it out took no time at all. So out of the box this pot is a winner. And it's deceptively small looking since it's narrow and high. But 8 quarts is 8 quarts and this way it has a smaller footprint for placing on the stove and storage. If I need any more cookware I would definitely go for T-fal. UPDATE: I prepare my "diet' vegetable soup every other week and it continues to come out perfect. After every washing it remains to look brand new.

Loved it enough that I bought TWO!
I am most impressed with this T-fal stockpot considering the low price point. I have only used this stockpot so far when cooking soy bean mush for making tofu. I have other stockpots, don't use those much either, except one s/s pot when making tofu along with the T-fal pot. Because I have progressed up to making larger quantities of tofu at one time - about 5 lb., I have just recently purchased a second T-fal stock pot. I guessed I could get by with one teflon coated pan and one of my other stock pots in the beginning but I so hate the clean up, after half a day of making tofu, the s/s pan has such a stuck on mess that I just broke down and ordered a second T-fal stock pot. Soy beans are a super sticky mess when it is cooked in any pot so I figured it was time to have an easy to maintain and clean up pot to go along with the other one and make my life easier. I have been very happy with this pot and it does what I wanted it to do. If there is one thing that could be a negative for some people is the pot is light weight, has grooved circles on the bottom which tends to make all T-fal pans slide around on the burners even when full. I have another T-fal 4 qt. pan I use to make cooked cereals and sauces in which, if I wasn't careful, I could slide right off the stove so one has to be mindful of the fact these are lightweight pans. I'm happy with both pans, use them for what they were purchased to do and since I didn't have to spend mucho money for either I'm even happier!

This is the best pot I've ever owned.
I drink about $80 of soy milk per month. So I wanted to make my own soy milk. By my calculations, would be closer to $5/month if I made it myself. Making soy milk in a stainless steel pot does not work. No matter how careful I try to be (I have literally stirred it nonstop for the whole cooking process), it will always stick to the bottom of the pot, burn or brown heavily, and the batch will taste burnt. This pot is perfect. Nothing sticks, I can scrape the bottom with a silicone spatula once every 10 minutes or so and it's fine. It's super easy to clean. It also is super tall, which makes it great to prevent boiling over, especially if you use it half full, there's a lot of room for foam expansion. I've already made enough soymilk to pay for the pot. The bottom is basically the same thickness as the sides though, so don't expect a heavy bottom pan, but for boiling stuff this doesn't matter, only for searing as far as I know.
