Yamaha FG800 Acoustic Guitar - Brown Sunburst

Just received my FG800 today in this exact finish. I am in disbelief at how good this guitar is. Action is low on mine, tone is fantastic, and the finish is absolutely stunning. My compliments to Yamaha as this is the most beautiful $200 instrument I’ve ever seen in my life. I can not recommend this guitar enough. It’s unreal!

Plays so nice, came looking so pretty, the sound is deep in tone and the fret action is very nice, not too stiff, definitely worth the purchase, if your a beginner this guitar is something I would definitely start on, it's a perfect middle piece for sure

Item arrived in great shape, it is a very nice looking instrument and has solid spruce top. VERY light and projects sound well. Mine had the bridge REALLY high, they had the heavy gage strings about 3/16" too high for decent action. I removed the plastic bridge insert and removed allot of material to get the bridge to sit lower in the wooden bridge holder. I then tightened the truss rod (it was not tightened at all) and the neck is perfectly straight now, and action is VERY low. I have tinkered with guitars most of my life, most people would not attempt this kind of modification. Still, as a beginner guitar it is great - with more work it plays almost as well as a Taylor - i am not kidding.

this guitar is great for beginners or intermediates it's got a really nice bright crisp sound and the action is very good the wood is much nicer quality than I expected

I haven't played for more than 10 years, but bought this guitar after seeing it come up on my recommendations. It looks and sounds great considering the price. Not sure if it is because I am out of practice or the action is high, but the strings require a fair bit of pressure to play the notes in the first couple of frets. I'm sure it will get easier once I've played for a bit, but lighter strings could also help. Overall, this guitar sounds very good for the price point and I would recommend it.

Honestly what is there not to enjoy about this guitar? It sounds fantastic and people always are shocked when I tell them what I bought this guitar for new. The Brown Sunburst colour is also very beautiful and I can completely recommend it!

Sounds decent for a laminate. Good sound for beginner until you are committed to your guitar journey.
