Perfect Ceramics’s underglazes pencil. I’m sort of a newbie in ceramics, but have found myself using this pencil to mark test tiles, to draw on green are as well as bisqued items. No fuzzy lines, no blurring or loss of color. This pencils lasts, doesn’t break at the tip, keeps it’s sharpness, even on rough clay and is intact through all glazing, and pencil itself is long wearing. It’s a great deal and I’m never without one.

I fire cone 10 porcelain. I use these for my signature on the trimmed foot ring.

created a test tile before use. drew on fired bisque ware (not raw clay) then glazed with a clear glaze on top. very good product, lines keep shape, pencil texture showed, no bleeding or smudging occurred. does not work well on using on top if paint on glazes. would just recommend using on straight bisque ware. half the price of other pencil options out their but still expensive in my opinion.

Use these in our paint your own pottery shop. Easy to sharpen with a handheld or electric sharpener. Work great for writing under bisque-ware projects to make them easy to identify and match back up with customer receipts. Would definitely recommend them for their quality, how sharp the pencil stays and how simple it is to use..
