The adapters work with apple pencil 1st generation and a lightning cable to recharge the battery.I got the two adapter pack which arrives presented in a small waterproof canister that can be attached to your key ring.The adapters only fit one way onto the pencil and the cable and there is a mark on the side so you know how to position them.The pencil seemed to charge slightly slower than when connected directly to the iPad - but it's worth it as looks like it's a much less risky proposition. The adapters are slightly loose on the pencil end - you need to ensure it's pushed in completely.

Great item! But poor value for money.

I lost my Apple Pencil Charging adapter. But fear not, this two adapter pack was just the ticket. It worked perfectly. Now I am connected with my iPad again. Recommended!

Not quite as polished as the Apple original, but they work well.
