I've only had this for about two weeks, so I'll be updating my review. So far, I'm mixed about it. I don't have many flies in the house, but the occasional one that sneaks in when the door is opened and my window stickies get them quickly. But I do get gnats. So far, that's all the light has zapped, and most of them fall on my kitchen counter after the zap. They don't get in the holder at the bottom of the unit. I opened it after a week, and it was empty even though I had heard the very light, hard-to-hear zap several times and found some dead gnats on my counter. You have to be in a quiet room and no more than perhaps forty steps away from the light to hear the zap, and then it's very low. That can be good or bad, depending on what pleases you. I would rather it be slightly louder, but perhaps gnats don't deserve a loud zap. I bought it on sale at a good price, so right now I won't complain too much. If I had bought it at the price it is now, I'd be unhappy. I'd like another one, but it will be another brand. It does kill the gnats even though they don't end up in the collection cup. But even with that, it is a kill and eliminates the pests.

I buy this bug zapper because too much mosquitoes in my backyard this summer. And it fly into my room even with the net on the door and window . The package is good and machine is strong, not cheap plastic. When I plug in, the blue light is very bright. Very soon I hear the loud zap sound . Next morning I see so many dead bugs and mosquitoes in the bottom tray. It is very easy to clean with the small brush. Overall it pretty used full for summer time .

I purchased on for the Summer of 2025. and it worked well. Yesterday it shorted out with a pop and is now shot. So if you are happy getting about a year out of it, this is for you. Not for the long haul.

This is the fourth bug zapper I've ordered from Amazon, and this manufacturer got it right. They put the switch on the unit; what a concept! Another brand I bought here recently has a switch, but it's halfway down the 9 foot cord; not real convenient. I'm amazed at how many zappers don't even have an on/off switch. Such an inexpensive thing to include in design creates so much value for the consumer. These guys realize that, so kudos to you. I've been using it for a month, so I can't speak to how long it will last, but the switch on the unit is a winner with me.

Increíble la cantidad de zancudos que atrapan. Había testado una otra y ya no creía en más nada…. Pero esa si funciona. Estoy en México y pongo externo o interno y es increíble la cantidad de mosquitos que se mueren ahí.
