Does the alarm have a silent mode so that my neighbors won't know when I arrive by the sound of me locking my car?

Yes, comes with shock sensor, dome light, parking light flash, and anit carjacking thats it, but works very well and would recommend to purchase.

Classic convertible - need door/shock sensor & ignition kill. Can door sensor be wired to hood/trunk etc switches?

It would depend on the type of switch those areas would have, if any. Most vehicles will not have a factory switch for the hood, so you would need to add one. But this alarm allows for the doors and hood/trunk areas to be monitored while the alarm is armed. It will also have a slot on the alarm to hook up a additional shock sensor, but the alarm has a built-in shock sensor already. Also, along with a relay that can be wired up for the ignition kill. Hope that helps.

I cannot get the blue light to go out. I have arrempted to clear valet mode several times, and it chirps confirmation.

My understanding (from our installer) is that the blue light will never “go out.” If car is in valet mode light will be on continuously. Once the system is armed the blue light will be flashing. Those are the only options you have with that (short of clipping the circuit wires).
