Strong enough for the Outer Hebrides.......
Did the job perfectly for me. Outer Hebridean strength tested to >90mph. Should be quite adequate for soft southern bins that like lager shandy. No need for a paving slab on top of the bin now, making use of the bin far easier ! 5* recommended.

Great idea, needs improvement to justify the price
Great idea. I bought 4 and have had a 50% success rate. It could have been an error I made installing them but two fell off almost immediately. I rescued one and stuck it back on with glue and its ok but the other one has gone with the bin lorry. The two remaining ones are functioning well - with one exception. Rain was leaking in around the fixing hole on all four and filling my bins with water. I've solved this by a slick of silicon but this means they no longer swing out of the way when being emptied. I'm probably going to buy another one to replace the missing one but I think £10 is too expensive given the issues. A better, perhaps threaded fixing and a rubber washer to prevent the ingress of water would be my suggestions.

Poorly designed product
A very poorly designed product. The stem does not protrude through far enough the bin lid to secure the very flimsy locking washer in place. Why on earth they don't provide a proper securing mechanism with a screw thread and nut is totally beyond me.

Won't last long with this design - Let down by the fixing method!!
Very easy to install, and effective whilst it lasts, but after only approx 3 or 4 cycles with the bin wagon I was left with the locking washer in the bottom of my empty bin and no sign of the strap. This needs to be bolted to be effective so am looking for a better design.

Easy to fit
This was easy to fit and stays in place securely. It feels robust and does the job of keeping the bin lid closed well while allowing you to open it with minimal fuss. I don't understand why wheelie bins don't come with these already fitted.

A CHEAP, CLEVER AND EASY FIX TO A WINDY DAY PROBLEM, EVERYONE SHOULD BE MADE TO HAVE ONE AND TAKE RESPONSIBLY FOR THEIR RUBBISH EVEN AFTER IT GOES IN THE BIN. REMEMBER IF IT BLOWS OUT ITS STILL YOURS UNTIL THE BIN WAGON TAKES IT AWAY. EXCELLENT SERVICE THANKS !!!
