Chrome Isolation Matte Gel Top Coat

Don’t waste your money on an expensive product when this product does the exact same thing. The size of the bottle is what it states in the description good size for the price in my opinion. The product goes on clear but dries as matte once cured. It cures good. There is no shine since it is matte and keep in mind n color since it is matte. The bottle is of good quality. The product goes on smooth and not to thick.

Chrome isolation was about to be my 13th reason. I’ve tried a couple different brands of matte top coat, even buffed it afterwards and wiped with rubbing alcohol but the powder would still stick everywhere. Idk what they put in this gaoy polish but it’s literal perfection. Just one matte top coat, 60s cure, no buff or alcohol needed, and the chrome is perfectly isolated on the 3D gel I apply afterwards. Now, what was once my worst nightmare, is my favorite thing to do!

I absolutely LOVE this matte top coat, it’s perfect for the matte look. Isn’t sticky, and makes isolating chrome SUPER easy. The bottles always come fully secured, so I haven’t had issues with leaking during shipping! 100% will get this brand every time

This matte top coat works so well for isolating chrome on top. It also cures pretty quickly. Highly recommended for chrome isolation!

As far as matte top coats go, Gaoy Matte Top Coat is good, and is competitive with the performance and look of others in its price range on Amazon. It goes on smoothly and settles well, and after curing leaves virtually no streak or shine, and has no stickiness to it whatsoever. It smells the same as other gel polishes and top coats - nothing stood out as smelling off or particularly different. Compared with the original color (before applying the matte top coat), the color seemed to stay consistent - it did not look overly faded or washed out. For the price of this matte top coat, you really can't go wrong! I tested 6 matte top coats in the same general price range on Amazon (including this one). To conduct this test, I applied 6 different matte top coats to 6 swatches that had already received two coats of gel polish (I did NOT remove the dispersion layer from the gel polish after curing). Then, I applied one coat of each matte top coat to each swatch (using a normal sized coat - not super thin, but not thick either). I then cured each for 90 seconds. I kept a control swatch so that the colors could be compared. I included photos of the overall test, and a photo of the control nail and this matte top coat. There were some very subtle differences among them, but overall any of them (including this one) are good matte top coats. I would recommend this matte top coat!

I use this to matte out nails for chrome designs. It mattes out beautifully. No plastic looking matte. No uneven spots. It gives a soft smooth matte finish. Chrome brushed right off with no struggle. Nail art goes on smooth and vibrant. Matte stays matte when clients return for next service. I will repurchase again.

Idk what magic everyone else is using but this was NOT chrome proof at all. Which is the whole reason I bought it. Tried with and without rubbing with alcohol and the chrome stuck to the top coat both times. But it’s a nice matte top coat if that’s the only thing you need it to be. EDIT : I originally gave it 2 stars for the reason I stated above but I tried it with a different chrome powder and it worked! So does work buy depends on the chrome powder
