We are very happy with our StarBlue roti maker. It has served our needs perfectly. We had tried other brands before, but they did not last very long. Since purchasing the StarBlue roti maker, making rotis and other flatbreads has become much easier. It heats up quickly and consistently makes thin, evenly cooked rotis every time. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable. We highly recommend this brand to anyone looking for a reliable and durable roti maker.

I was excited to try this electric roti maker, but unfortunately it did not work as expected for me. I have made rotis for years and followed the instructions carefully, but after several attempts I was unable to get soft, round, well-cooked rotis. The rotis either remained undercooked in some areas, became too hard, or did not puff up properly. I used the product multiple times thinking it might take some practice, but the results were consistently disappointing. The concept is great and may work for some users, but in my experience it did not save time and actually required more effort than making rotis traditionally. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I was really impressed with the Roti Maker when I first got it. It heated evenly and was easy to use. For the time it worked, it performed exactly as expected and made the process much quicker and more convenient. Unfortunately, after some use, the unit stopped working. The company's customer service has been excellent. They responded promptly to my concerns, and said they would send a replacement.

The unit was delivered in a timely manner in good shape. Works as described. However, making roti or tortillas is not as simple as video indicates. The tortilla dough would shoot out of the unit before it could get pressed. Found by either coating the dough ball with a thin coating of flour, or reducing the heat setting this would not happen. It is not possible to obtain a thin tortilla. If too hot the moisture in the dough will cause the tortilla to blow apart. On the high setting, it will toast the roti nicely, but the tortillas were dry and not soft and pliable. For a good tortilla, don’t cook too long and pre-roll to size. It does work OK, but don’t set your expectations too high. Still looking for a better solution for making tortillas.

My previous review got deleted, so here is another as long as it can last Heats up pretty well, but smoke & plastic smell scares me though. Chapatis are very chewy/rubbery, and break a lot, I dont know what I am doing wrong, It had worked for many people so I am sure Its not the machine, I just need more practice I guess. 4 stars cuz there is so much room for improvement, parts move. 4 stars cuz it cooks the dough for me, & saves lot of my time. I am a student, and dont get much time for cooking, and I dont care much for the quality of the chapati, as long as the dough is cooked. Overall I recommend it Jan 2021 Update: brought it in March 2020, rarely used it (used about 5lb atta) now it doesn't flatten the dough anymore, I have to press it multiple times to flatten it a little bit, by the time the dough is flat enough to call it a roti the roti is half cooked, then the end product ends up chewy and doesn't fluff.. roti are not at all soft. I was expecting it to not last for a long time anyway, lasted as expected about 6 months cuz I rarely used it and handled it with care. not worth for the price I paid. My previous review got deleted, so here is another as long as it can last Edit 2: it stopped heating about 4 months ago, it doesn't flatten the dough, and doesn't even warm up so that I can atleast use it to warm my chapatis before eating. So, it's dead after light use for about 1 year

I bought this in Nov 2025. Only used 3 times. The first two times was okay to press out the tortillas, but the 3rd time on 6/20/2026, it was working okay but all of a sudden stopped heating. I unplugged it, waited an hour or so, and it still wouldn’t heat up. I’m going to contact customer service and see if they will send me a new one. Absolutely not worth the price. I’ll update this review when/if I hear back.

Works great in making roti’s. I paid $2000 on Rotimatic which broke within a year and it’s taking 7 months for them to replace it (was insured). This <$100 things saves me the headache of stuck dough and other errors from Rotimatic. The only downside is making dough and balls which I don’t mind at all. So worth the price and would recommend to anyone who loves garam roti!!!

This roti maker fails at its most basic function - producing an evenly cooked, properly thin roti. No matter what settings I use, the rotis come out at least double the thickness they should be. Because the rotis are so thick, the tops burn before the insides are cooked through. I've tried every timing and setting, but it's impossible to get an evenly cooked roti from this machine. The tops char while the insides remain unacceptably raw and doughy. Not only does this ruin the taste and texture, but serving up under cooked dough is also a potential health hazard. For a machine meant to make fresh bread, this is unacceptable. Unless the manufacturer addresses the thickness problem, which seems to be a design flaw, I cannot recommend this roti maker. Burnt tops and raw insides are the opposite of an authentic, evenly cooked roti. Don't waste your money.

Don’t buy! It’s worse

This was purchased a little over 30 days ago. It worked fine for sometime. And now the roti maker is not heating enough. The video is 3 minutes long and the roti maker was barely heating up and the rotis were not getting done. It is a hassle to reach the manufacturer and Amazon cannot provide any help since it is older than 30 days. Shouldn’t it be Amazon’s responsibility to provide direct contact with the manufacturers or get a response from them if they are offering a product on their website. Very disappointed and it was not a cheap buy as well
