Solid quality great price very easy to use
After my favorite stringer left my go-to stringing store, I got terrible stringing jobs done several times. I was so mad that I took the matters to my own hands.I bought this machine because the five point mounting system and the price. The machine was well packed and arrived very quickly. I really like the quality, very solidly built, heavy and stable on my table. The manual is way too simple for someone like me who have zero stringing experience, so I had to watch multiple youtube videos to learn the process. The first time it took me almost two hours to string one racket. I had to cut the string immediately because I used too much force to hold the racket on the turntable, so the racket was out of shape! Several stringing jobs later, I can now string a racket in 45 minutes.Overall, I really like this machine, it is good enough for me since I only string my own rackets a couple of times per month. The only thing I wish it could be better at this price point is the clamps. The two clamps are solid but too thick to hold strings next to each other closely.I'm happy with this purchase and do think it will save me lots of money and time in the future.

A Decent Starter, But Needs Upgrades for Badminton
I bought this machine with the intention of learning how to string my own badminton racket taking into account that I can upgrade it to use an electric tension head like the WISE 2086 if I ever wanted to.Pros:* This machine feels sturdy and well-constructed.* Compatible with electric tension heads like the WISE 2086 with a low-profile adapter.* Removable plastic tabs on the 6/12 mounts allow the use of load spreaders without taking too much space to allow clamping closer to the top of the racket.Cons:* Horrible Clamps: The default clamps are not ideal for badminton stringing. The teeth positions are not spaced well for badminton stringing which will force you to stretch main strings when clamping the crosses.* Limited Side Mount Adjustment: The mount points offer minimal adjustment, making it difficult to achieve optimal racket support. If you plan to use this machine for badminton racket stringing, consider these upgrades:* Tourna Universal CNC Precision Clamps: The teeth are spaced much better for badminton strings, and the clamps are slimmer so you can move it closer to racket frame compared to the default clamps. These machines should really have come with these clamps as default as they are pretty much a requirement for badminton rackets.* Badminton-Specific Side Mounts: These mounts provide better feedback on how much force is actually being applied to the frame.* Longer 6/12 Mount Points: These longer points allow for more precise adjustment of side mount placement, providing better support for the racket. While the Tourna Drop Weight is a decent starting point, these upgrades are recommended for optimal badminton stringing performance.

Really Great
Didn’t know what to expect as this was a new product with no reviews. Delivered & packaged really well. Surprisingly little assembly out the box compared to other drop weight machines. Fit & finish were excellent. The linear pull action is awesome. Clamps are as good as any in this category of machines. This is the best value of any drop weight machine on the market. Enjoy it much more than the Gamma ratchet drop weight.

Fantastic stringing machine! Spot-on tensioning, high-quality mounting and clamping.
I've had this machine for about a month, strung about 30 frames, and could not be happier with it. The tensioner is spot-on (I checked with a calibrator), and the mounts and clamps work great. This is worlds better than the floating clamp drop-weight machine I strung on as a junior. I've strung poly, synthetic gut, and multifilaments on my racquets at around 49 +/-3 lbs and (now, after getting comfortable stringing on this machine) all are coming out feeling within range.Sure it would be nice to have a free-standing machine with an electric tensioner but this more than suits my needs (just stringing for myself for casually competitive 4.5 matches). Plus I don't ever have to worry about calibration or repairing/replacing electronic parts, motors, etc. I believe a Wise tension head can be installed if I decide to go that route as well.Happy stringing!

Pretty easy to use
Pretty easy to use, takes a bit more than 1h to string after some practice, the drop weight mechanism works well and I won’t be upgrading to an electric motor any time soon
