T-fal Kitchen Knife Set
Nice! All knives, including the scissors, have very sharp blades. The butcher block is attractive and smaller than our former set, which had 6 steak knives (4 is plenty for us) and two extra larger knives that we never used. Overall, this item is a much more practical fit for our food-prep needs in a small'ish kitchen. Recommended.

This knife set is amazing! The knives are super sharp and cut everything easily. The handles are comfortable, and the block looks great in my kitchen. Perfect for everyday use!

Excelente calidad
Precio-calidad excelente.

Most used knives in a set, Good metal (X50CrMoV15), sharp out of box
This T-fal knife set includes the most used knives in a kitchen, a Chef, Santoku, utility and paring etc. Added knife block is nice for storing without spoiling the edges. Its good metal and sharp out of box with decent build. Package: All knives and scissors are in one box with individual paper sheath. Block has thin fine grain wood covering, inside filler is different wood. Metal: These are stated as German stainless steel X50CrMoV15, which is good metal for knife and are used by major brands. Sharpness: With a 13 degree edge angle it's narrower than most German knives and closer to 12 degree of Asian/Japanese knives. You might need to find proper sharpening guide or sharpener at 13 degree for this. The knives are very sharp out of box, hopefully it maintains the edge for decent period. Hardness: I tried to find the Rockwell hardness value for these, I got a HRC 55 from some site but nothing official. This is less than 56-57 of Henckel's classic which I consider a decent but affordable knife. Usually higher hardness means knife stays sharper longer but are more brittle and difficult to sharpen. Ergonomics: These are forged knife with full bolster. Somehow, I find the bolster little too big and the handle little lighter, it leans forward in my normal grip. This may be my personal bias for using Wusthof or Henckels Classic as my primary knife, both of which has very similar handle and design. To be fair they are in totally different price category. Care: In general I hand wash knives immediately after use, wipe and store them. I never wash knives in dishwasher or throw them with any other utensil or cutlery. Overall the set has most used knives in the kitchen with good metal and sharp edge. It seem to be a decent one in the similar price range. The block keeps them tidy and avoid crashing the edges. Be careful shopping for sharpener, these are 13 degree edge. It's worth a try.

Bad quality
After a year of usage, the handles are cracking and falling apart. At the beginning they were good knives. Too bad thar they started to have cracks in the handles.
