Philips Norelco S9311/87, Shaver 9300

Replacing another Norelco 9000 series, which began failing after only two years, the previous one lasting a decade, this shaver is lighter (more plastic) and uses a different shave head. The shave is comfortable and incredibly close. The trimmer is identical to the prior model and works very well for sideburns. This high-end model comes with a fancy cleaning/recharging device which includes a bath of cleaning solution. The idea is that when the battery needs recharged, you nest the shaver into the cradle. The battery gets charged and the heads get cleaned and dried. Since I usually forget to clean the heads on a regular basis, this sort of forces you to clean as your rechaged. You can also plug the charge cord directly into the shaver. All-in-all, a bit expensive but well worth it for the great shave.

I'm impressed with how well this electric shaver works. It picks up every hair, coarse or thin, long or short, for the closest shave you can get. And I'm suitably impressed how well the shaver cleans itself.And all-round best in show.
