Does the powder require refrigeration?

Yes, but not immediatley after opening. Esbilac powder can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 months after opening and then must be refrigerated. (Esbilac powder can be used up to 1 additional month after refrigeration.)

Can KMR be fed to a puppy or Esbilac to a kitten?

Each of our PetAg formulas are designed for species specific nutritional needs so they are not interchangeable.

Why are the fat and protein levels in Esbilac/KMR liquid different than in the powders?

The Guaranteed Analysis on liquid & powdered milk replacers reflects values for each specific product. Powdered replacer values are higher since they’re listed without added water. After adding 2 parts water, fat and protein will match the liquid.

The formula looks clumpy or smells like spoiled milk, is it safe for use?

No. Milk Replacers are perishable products that are high in fat and protein that have a live probiotic included as well. If a formula appears spoiled in any way, it should NEVER be fed to an animal.
