Can this be permanatly left strored on the charging plate without it heating up?

Do you mean when not in use? If so then yes. It only heats up when plugged in and whilst plugged in needs to keep going back on the stand to reheat. It can’t heat independently

How can u tell when the iron is charged for cordless use?

It doesn't charge, it heats up, exactly like a corded iron, but then you can detach the iron from the base, and use it for up to a minute, it will cool down, so need to be re-heated.

What kind of ironing board does this work with? So the base is stable.

Hi, There is not a specific ironing board for the 2-in-1 Iron as most boards are suitable. The base will be stable as long as the ironing board itself is stable. I hope this helps.

How long can i use the iron for before recharging please?

Not long at all. I couldn't do one shirt without replacing on base several times. I sent mine back. Not a good iron.
